MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

Apparently this family has existed for some time bullying their way through to get what they want. Except now they want a whole bunch of money from SGF and Michael Barisone and seemed to be shocked that neither SGF or MB are willing to simply hand them the keys to the castle. Sceusi, Silver and Deininger aren’t going to let them operate as they apparently have in the past. They made salacious statements and said they have recordings and evidence of bombshells yet when asked to produce anything they skidaddle out of the country!! Who does that?

Maybe SGF and Deiniger should subpoena Nellie/Gertie and anyone else who was given evidence and get what they need from them. After all, LK told everyone to, “get it themselves”…gosh, that sounds like something the Kanareks have said here when ordering posters to find old posts.

If O’Connor filed a notice of appearance now on behalf of Jonathan and Kirby Kanarek, I would be looking for a new law firm myself if I were Lauren Kanarek.

Well, she does have that blue tooth firm on speed dial, or whatever it was. Lol.

my DH & DD are going to Vernon, NY to race the new horse

What is going on at Vernon these days? I thought the track shut down at one point within the last few years.

It’s still going, not a strong as it used to though. There has been talk by the owner of shutting it down in the past, but so far, so good. It’s such a pretty spot! This is our first year back racing there since the pandemic, and we had a win with our new horse last week. Gave a young driver his first lifetime win. Hopefully they have the same luck this week! My DH & DD have been racing there during the summers for about 7 years, my daughter loved having her little dorm room and shedrow there, it’s like her second home. Since she’s working for another trainer here, they’ve left him with another trainer there and drive down the day of the race.

I happened to be at Disney World this morning (long story) anyway, the Dole whip place opens at 10, so I got a coconut dole whip because I’m an adult who ain’t got no rules.

So I’m sitting there eating it and a family walks by. Daughter looks about 8 years old and says:

“Mom! Can we get ice cream?”

And mom looks right at me, and deadpans

“It’s 10o’clock in the morning.”

And I just raised my spoon and said “I hear you, lady.”

The coconut dole whip is a hidden gem.

It may have been 10:00 a.m. in Disney World - but that means it was 3:00 p.m. in Paris. Yummy snacks should not be determined - or influenced - by time zones. The end.

Things can get very problematic when one firm is representing the whole family in what could become competing interests.

What happens if JK/KK secure their own attorneys in the next few days and those attorneys file Notices of Appearance? Are they likely to immediately ask for a postponement (adjournment?) so they have time to get up to speed?

I don’t know the actual legal answer, but I certainly hope the judge would shoot that down in a heartbeat.

They’ve had how much time to work on this issue? Since July?

Here’s a shot of the win circle. The driver had a lot of people very happy for him. Some of the drivers that he beat showed up for the picture, two of them have driven for us in the past.

They’ve had since July. I would guess no. I mean, they may ask, but I can’t see the judge entertaining it any more than he did the request to adjourn because they are on vacay.

We have wanted to get a second double barrel ice cream machine so we can sell Dole Whip- the pineapple and the coconut- BUT we don’t really have the electricity to do it with three machines and multiple coolers already.

I actually play Christmas music year round via Pandora. Christmas was always such a huge deal for my family growing up and for my own family. My joy of the holiday brings all the memories of my amazing parents back as vividly as though it was yesterday. I understand many don’t share my unbounded joy of the season. My mother and brother were in retail and mom loved the hustle and bustle of shoppers and my brother absolutely hated it but tried hard to not take the joy from others. It isn’t about gifts - it’s about sharing and being kind toward others.
