MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

Probably. Especially if he is foolish enough to be working on a contingency basis.

Thank you. Technology passes me by at the speed of light. I’ll look forward to seeing the legal folks take on the hearings, if they are able to watch.

Hopefully transcripts will be available if the hearing itself is not open to the public?

I really couldn’t care less about these K people just happy I don’t know them, however my attorney friend has explained enough to me that I am interested in how their attorneys will possibly manage to come out of this without their clients (and themselves) looking very bad indeed.

In my experience, sloppy pre-trial filings/attitude usually means sloppy trial proceeding and sloppy post trial filings.

But some bombshell could be dropped.

Ok. So what if everything Nagle and this are doing is on purpose?

What if they are obfuscating, breaking the rules, nort showing up on purpose because at this point they just want their suit to go away?

What if they want the judge to dismiss their suit? Is there any advantage to them to have it dismissed rather than withdraw it themselves?

Jk may have transferred the NJ property over to another daughter long ago. He and Kirby dissamapear. Lauren’s money is in some offshore c account. Shelly Nelly Belly has burned her tapes in the burn barrel behind the barn. Jk sent the ex parte letter on purpose to get the judge to to add it to all the foolishness and just dismiss.

Any advantage to that? Could they still be hoping to prevail? And it certainly looks like the primary goal is to burn through all of Michael’s money. If they can’t win, at least MB loses his money and properties. How does MB prevail?

Any chance MBs attorneys will request some kind of ruling on the case, if people aren’t cooperating? What kind of status is everybody facing?

All I can guess is something is cooking because it sure has been quiet and civilized here.

You know, the Ks would seem to be well advised to get out of this, but even if they were of a mind to settle (paying Barisone and SGF some settlement), I have a feeling that Barisone’s side would not let it go, just as they would not take the plea deal that the prosecutor offered in the criminal trial. I think Barisone wants the K’s behavior on the record and is very determined to get it there. Whether it is healthy for him to do so is questionable but it’s not my business.

The whole thing is just sad. It would behoove everyone to just move on with their lives, but I understand why the underlying anger of the defendants may make a legal victory desirable.
The Kanarek’s have no excuse to be carrying this on at this point in time, besides money grubbing.

Can someone repost the link to watch on Friday?

If it’s the result of a gag order, I wish it had gone into effect years ago.

Perhaps @ekat could add it to the original post so it’s easy to find on Friday?

Thanks for the tip! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Not from where I’m sitting. If the plaintiff’s [suit] is dismissed, it won’t automatically dismiss the countersuit, and then LK can’t possibly offset any awards to MB.and if a plaintiff’s suit is dismissed for whatever reason, it makes the issue of who is responsible for attorneys fees alot easier to determine…

Circling back to say that I just watched this musical episode of Buffy, and it was just as fantastic I remembered.

I love it even more because the actor who played Sweet, the singing demon, was a Broadway guy, and I happened to see him a few years before this episode originally aired when he was in the show Chicago on Broadway. And I was sitting in the front row, and he sang one of his songs right to me for a pretty good chunk of it. That was amazing.

My sides still ache from laughing the first time I heard this

Rather than anger perhaps Michael Barisone wants the record straight. He’s lost 3 1/2+ years of his life because of these disgusting people. While he may never remember exactly what happened that day, he knows exactly what was done to him leading up to 8/7. By now he has seen all the evidence and documentation available and clearly understands there truly was a plan to Finish the Bastard. He deserves to make sure the public sees what these people did and continue to do to him. I can’t imagine the amount of $$ he has lost since that August - legal bills, lost income, reputation damaged, and incarcerated for years without proper treatment. I doubt the Kanareks have the kind of money that could potentially be awarded him if all this goes to trial.

I wonder about all the things that the defense wasn’t able to bring out that most of us have would have no idea about. What we heard was pretty awful. What was the stuff that wasn’t presented?

Yes, he has every right to be angry and to not let it go.
