I think an article I read earlier said the odds were something like one in 292 million? Some number like that. Which are not great odds, but still. Better than no chance at all.
Well, if an expert wins, they can take whatever payment plan they want. I would certainly take the lump sum. What happens if you take the payments and then get hit by a bus the next week?

Lotto odds are something like 1:285 million. If you’re under 50, it might make sense to take the $ in installments. So many lives get ruined by a sudden influx of wealth; in installments you’d at least have a chance for do-overs.
