Y’all should try reading this thread while high (my doctors are tossing meds at me to manage pain).
It’s like watching children argue. “Did not!” “Did too!” Ad nauseam. There’s always those kids who know how to push peoples buttons and do so just for fun.
Is there any likelihood of any more motions being filed before the judge makes his rulings? Just wondering if we could have any interesting filings to read.
Someone else posted that long ago when asked why the pipes froze - that MB didn’t make arrangements with the gas company and/or didn’t pay the bills. It wasn’t objected to then so I assumed that was the case. Obviously there was no heat in the house and the furnace didn’t need to be replaced. If there was some other cause other than no gas, then I stand corrected. So you know why the pipes froze?
Thank you. If the parents do have attorneys to represent them, is it better to wait now until the judge rules, or do so asap? I thought we might also see the notice of appearance for them.
I have to set the record straight on something @SierraMist posted upthread saying Michael Barisone stated on 48 Hours that he got the gun from his office and went to the house.
Well, I pulled up the episode and found that portion of the interview and beginning at 44:33 the following is revealed:
Interviewer: do you remember going to get a gun?
Michael: shakes his head
Interviewer: at any point?
Michael: nope. I remember going in my office.
Interviewer: was the gun in your office in a safe?
Michael: yes
Interviewer then goes on to say Michael entered his office, kissed Mary Haskens and told the social worker and Mary Haskins to wait outside, then he opened his safe, took the gun and went out the door and headed down to the white farmhouse. What happened next remains unclear.
AT NO TIME DURING THE 48 HOURS EPISODE DOES MICHAEL BARISONE EVER SAY HE TOOK A GUN FROM HIS SAFE OR ANYWHERE ELSE.
Just curious… what percentage of the population operates DAILY under 90% of those stressors you’ve listed? I don’t care if you’re the garbage man making $50k a year with a family or an Olympic dressage rider making millions a year with a family. Everyone has.a multitude of stressors that they are dealing with every day. People manage successfully until the day they die.
What percentage of the population has a petulant drug addicted evil meean spirited adult child attacking them with a stated goal of destruction of your EXISTENCE and the existence of all that you love.
That’s the point. MB did not manage it successfully and he’s finally getting the help he needs in order to manage stress and depression.
I’m old and have seen a lot and experienced a lot. I know plenty of people who had enormous stresses with situations far worse than MB, that went on for 2 or 3 years, not 2 or 3 months. And they didn’t end up criminally charged with attempted murder.
Well gosh, that’s easy! Obviously there are three posters here who have never had stress in their lives (at least that they will admit). How ironic that Michael had worked under stress most of his adult life while also dealing with and controlling mental health issues, without any problem whatsoever until Finish the Bastard plan was implemented.
Reviewing the 48 Hours episode, the interviewer says on the morning of 8/6 or 8/7, I don’t recall which and I’m not going back through it to verify which date, Lauren posted her efforts so far had not worked so she was going to increase the pressure on Barisone (paraphrased). What did she mean by that? Who does that?
Nope. He also is very clear that any scenario about what has happened is what he has been told happened. Told he did something by people who were not there and have an agenda, based on a story told by two liars with a plan and desire to destroy him and enough meanness to act on it.
He did. Look at his history of handling it successfully. It wasn’t until someone tormented him to death that he snapped (and I don’t mean snapped by shooting)
