Now this is interesting. Alec Jones payouts to the families he tortured are not dischargable under any of his bankruptcy. Because of his intentional tortuous conduct. I wonder if that will apply to what will be awarded to MB from LK because of her intentional, admittedly intentional, tortuous conduct, or JK if JK becomes a party to the suit. Hopefully.

I imagine it’s the same for most people across social media. MB was wronged and abused by a predator.

This. At the outset of this tragedy I was firmly in the camp of “you can’t just shoot people,” even if they are a complete nightmare and making your life total hell. Initially it seemed black and white that MB had some kind of mental breakdown and shot an innocent client.

The more information became available, and the more LK and her family members posted here and on other social media channels, the more I realized how much abuse MB has suffered at the hands of the Kanereks and their crew, and just how little evidence there was to support LK / RG’s version of events.

I still firmly believe that you just can’t shoot people to resolve a dispute. However I no longer believe that LK was an “innocent” client and I don’t see any convincing proof that MB is the one who shot her, or even that he is the one who brought the gun to the house that day.

Victims are rarely perfect. Some have shockingly bad judgment. Some are difficult. Some may have mental health issues and their behavior may even reach the level of a public nuisance. But by all means keep justifying tormenting a shooting victim who may have mental health issues and her family on this forum. You will have a little tiny group applauding away. What did Warmblood say? “The lack of empathy is knee jerking.”

You can attempt to contort words and defend vile behavior as much as you wish.

I didn’t defend her behavior. I called hypocrisy on the behavior of a few on this forum. If y’all really cared about how GJ was treated, you would call out LK for it sure, but you wouldn’t then repeat the behavior again and again and again for over 3 years now.

No, actually, it didn’t. I’m fully aware that GJ gets all the empath and the Ks get none.l We aren’t saying anything vile about LK that isn’t true. That’s the difference. LK and her parents are acting abhorrently. What they did to GJ is one example. The other examples are discussed on this thread. They are vile people. They have engaged in intentional, tortuous conduct. Its not comparable. Just because you are insensed that people are talking about what LK and JK and KK and RG are doing, doesn’t make what people say about their conduct vile. Its their conduct which is vile, and bringing it to light is the beginning of their undoing, hopefully, and exposing their abhorrent vile behaviour is the purpose of these threads.

You’re right, I have no empathy for LK and her family. That doesn’t make me a hypocrit. It makes me a pragmatist. It makes me someone who has no tolerance for people like them or their behaviour, or for people who make obsequious excuses for them. People who make excuses for them are enablers and sycophants. I see LK and her family as a very close kind of Uriah Heep and his mother. Nasty to the core. Deserving of nothing. And I have all the empathy and will give as much support as I can to their victims, and to all people who are victims of these kinds of monsters. I’m direct and smart as a whip, and I have no empathy nor give any room for liars, grifters, narcissists, manipulators, or the people who make excuses for them. Clear it up any?

Do you even know LK and her family outside of SM? Do you know MB in person? Or just of him?

As I said back when the GJ messages were posted, it takes a really sick person who is comfortable functioning WAAAAAY outside of societal and behavioural norms to come up with some of what she sent. The prurient interest in making sexual references while mocking someone for the death of their child was down right depraved.

Maybe that is normal behavior for members of Brooklake Country Club - to which her parents belong.

Interesting that the parents that were so devastated and distraught that their daughter was shot didn’t offer somewhere for her to recover… they let her go stay in a hotel with an addict to take care of her.

Ah those silly facts! Yes they sure did.

Was the hotel close to the hospital? Or a treatment center? Did her family come to the hotel to visit her?

At 3 am? Could be. Thank you to the person who sent this to me.

I’ve never seen anything like that. It exposed how an unsound mind thinks in such a shocking and visceral way. I felt a bit sick just reading it TBH.

And the icing on the cake was that both of Lauren Kanarek’s parents, Jonathan Kanarek (@Inigo-montoya) and Kirby Kanarek (@Seeker1), posted that what Lauren did there was a nothing, just two girls not getting along.
It is crazy that anyone would consider how Lauren acted there as a nothing.

I don’t remember, did Jonathan Kanarek or Kirby Kanarek ever comment on Lauren following that unknown person around the store while recording and making rude comments, then posting it on the internet to encourage others to make rude comments too?

That may tell us everything we know about this situation. If my parents had seen even one of the sentences she wrote to GJ they not only would have read me the riot act (yes, even in my 30s they still (gasp!) have expectations of me), but our personal relationship would have suffered noticeably. We’d have had a lot of work to do to get back where we were and for me to regain their trust and good opinion.

For the record, it would not have mattered one jot what GJ said or even if she said it first or in reply. The only thing my parents would care about (and rightly so) is what I wrote; how I behaved.

No, I’m not sure either of her parents commented on her harassing people in Walmart. If JK is such a delicate flower that he feels a subpoena for information is harassment, he should be practically in tears for the poor stranger who was actually harassed by LK and RG for simply turning up at a shop and shopping.

It’s hard for me to comprehend a 40 year old woman relies on her daddy to bully others to get her way. The latest stunt of emailing the Judge directly, trashing the defense attorneys, is icing on the cake for this desperate family and seems to have been a last stitch act of true desperation. These people honestly believe rules don’t apply to them do they?

I wonder, if LK was banned from the family home, how does the family justify all being together in the FL home? Since whatever happened to cause the NJ home ban certainly wasn’t overruled with the almost death situation as far as the Livingston dwelling. For sure this is a family worthy of study by professional experts.

Gentle reminder that none of us would be here, no 48 Hours, no Dr Grande, no attention whatsoever if Lauren and her family had been as quiet and private as the others involved in the 2019 situation. They are now reaping everything they’ve sown, so don’t preach to anyone posting and reacting to their vile, inappropriate behavior. They deserve all this and so much more.

Not for anything but there are parts of Newark that are not the nicest. I’m not all that familiar with the city but the times I have been, I’ve stayed close to a certain area which is generally across town from S. 18th.

I just started reading “The Untethered Soul”. It’s helping me to not be so reactive. I highly recommend it
