That is correct. She was wrong on point blank range. Using macho talk, it was a double tap to the chest, pretty close shot group too. Amazingly lucky shooting for a man y’all say was being attacked at the time. If RG had not stopped him and LE and other first responders had not rushed the scene of the “active shooter” there could have been a different scenario and MB would be in a lot worse situation.

If she had moved out, none of this would have happened but she just can’t help but terrorize people. If RG was actually a hero he would have made sure she moved out. But he didn’t.

The months old circular discussions are incredible, aren’t they? Even with posters on ignore it is evident what the tired discussion is simply by reading the other posts. Why continue the argument? I seriously doubt they believe what they are pushing but enjoy the rise they get out of others.
Nagel is the perfect attorney for Lauren. Highly arrogant and unlikeable with his crass comments about another jury. I suspect this is a contingency case for him and I now wonder if Mom & Dad either can’t afford their own attorney or can’t find one to represent them. What a tangled web they have spun. I think there is a possibility others might be charged once all the evidence is presented.

It’s absolutely incredible that this happened. I’m still hoping the letter will me entered at some point. I’m also wondering as we’ve been promised so many bombshells, where are the recordings? Where are the transcripts? And… why would LK not want to tell her story now?
I was shocked by the 48 hours episode, when she seemingly decided after all these years to shut up about the incident.

Point blank range has a technical definition, which is, for that weapon and ammo, a range within which you can point the gun straight at the target zone and be assured of hitting the target zone without having to adjust your aim to compensate for bullet drop due to gravity.
According to Wiki, if you have a rifle and are hunting deer, point blank range is 300 yards.
If MB shot LK from, say, 5 feet away, would he have needed to adjust his aim to compensate for bullet drop, or just aim straight at her heart? How much would a bullet drop over a 5 foot trajectory?
Point blank range is also used in a nontechnical sense to mean “really close” but not with muzzle to target contact.
Looks like a 5 foot range probably fits the technical definition of within point blank range. Would you expect to find gun shot residue on her clothing at 5 feet?
A tight pattern is also achieved during a struggle with a reflexing trigger finger, particularly if the shooting victim is point blank beating a man senseless for seven minutes. Has that seven minute span ever made sense to anyone? Had she been shot before those seven minutes began, she would have been dead by the time Heymer arrived. I challenge anyone to start a stopwatch and sit quietly for seven solid minutes and realize the doubt her story provides. Alternatively, imagine Michael Barisone being bitten and beaten savagely for seven long minutes by two people with the likelyhood one of them had a gun.
