MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

$5,000 a month is better than $0 a month.

Was there a waiting list of boarders wanting to bring horses in at full board and training and zero empty stalls when he was considering telling LK to leave? No? Then telling her to leave means a loss of income. This is true whether he’s operating at a profit or at s loss at the time.

Maybe he planned to ask her to leave after he got more boarders lined up. Maybe he wanted to get commissions on more horses he sold her before he asked her to leave. Maybe he believed her puffery about unlimited means.

Again, 48 Hours. The interviewer pointed out the Coth mantra - “Isn’t $5,000 a month for two horses in training plus living quarters a sweet deal?” He said, yeah maybe, but there are bills to pay.

This needs to be quoted because @Knights_Mom nailed it 1000000%!!!

Not if you have no profit with that $5000, and actually incur other costs such as mortgage, insurance, labor, expenses such as feed, hay and bedding.

There was no profit at $5000.

BASIC rules of business even you should understand!

All that matters is whether the $5,000 exceeded the marginal cost of having those two horses on the farm.

Very basic, as you say.

Your delusion continues. The rate for a MB level trainer is THOUSANDS a month. I pay for training 3x a week for ONE horse at a barn where the trainer is no where near MB level over $1500 a month. Sometimes well over. At best $5000 would cover TWO horses IF his rate was $2500 for 3x a week which it wouldn’t be. It would be MORE as horses would be ridden more and according to LKs ‘Statement Of Profound Dedication’ it was 6 days a week.

BUT FOR THAT PRICE OF ONLY $5000 HE GETS TO FEED FIVE HORSES? And pay higher utilities for more house occupants?

And you think that five grand was seen as coming from the heavens carried by angels upon gossamer wings?

MB taking in ONE client with ONE horse would have afforded him a higher profit margin.

There were 4 horses by early summer. And… two people living in the apartment.

$5000 didn’t cover all that. Not even close.

And was she paying additional for lessons? She must have been. How many lessons a week? At what hourly rate?

The whole thing is a perplexing mess.

I do believe he bought into both LK and JKs “puffery” as you called it about their finances early on. But… by summer 2019, he realized there were limits.

Sweet fancy Moses, has it gone that sideways?!

Someone with no legal education or experience whatsoever just self-declared they were over qualified for this conversation?

This taking up the mantel of professional knowledge and experience one does not possess because one may have googled or is related to people who do have such education and experience is another weird and unique aspect of this situation.

I always guffawed at LK’s ‘I’m legal professionals adjacent so I can school the lawyers and law professors and other legal professionals’. It’s always super cringe when someone acts as though skills or positions held by friends or family confer special status on them.

But declaring one is ‘over qualified’ to speak on legal topics with legal professionals does, indeed, take the cake.

Perfect. Just perfect.

You misquoted me. I’m over qualified for discussions on this forum because I can read and look things up on my own. Several who announce their legal prowess then show their bias or lack of knowledge repeatedly. They either can’t look up laws online for another state or just feed snippets that support what they want people to read kind of like you did with your misquote.

He’s lucky people weren’t knowledgeable about and discussing vocal fry at that time. :confounded:

Yes, anyone without a jot of relevant legal education, knowledge, or professional experience declaring themselves ‘over qualified’ - I mean, I don’t know whether to cringe or laugh. They should be absolutely embarrassed. But, people who declare themselves way better than/too good for something are as ridiculous and farcical as those who declare themselves too sexy - so you’re spot on with that reference.

No sense of humility, dignity, or self-awareness. What self-aggrandising clap trap.

Many of my classmates in school had very distinguished parents in their fields. My father was also distinguished in his field.

However, my proximity to them did not cause me become (A.) An Academy Award winning actress. (B.) A world renowned Symphony Orchestra conductor. (C.) An Olympic, gold medal winning Athlete (shout out to you Pat Powers!) (D.) A mathematics wizard. (E.) An important Astrophysicist (F.) An Astronaut. (G.) A professor with a PHD in Classics and expert translator of languages etc… (H.) A Federal judge (had a cigarette with him outdoors during a break in my friend’s law school graduation), and I’m not a bit wiser about federal law because of it!

Perhaps it’s just me, but I don’t learn by osmosis when hanging out with people who are brilliant in their chosen fields . I am more educated for knowing them, but I don’t have their knowledge, or their education because I know them, whether they are friends or family.

I’ve not seen anything quite like it outside these threads and a couple posters, most notably LK herself.

I guess I’ve seen one field with a similar issue: military families. Some spouses and other relatives take on a bit too strong a personal association with their spouse’s/family member’s military experience. I understand it is STRONGLY frowned upon by those who don’t - considered a real faux pas in that community; not a done thing by respectable folks.

The breathtaking arrogance of self-declaring over qualification with no supporting professional credentials or experience is, just, wow. Especially given none of the actual professionals who are doing yeoman’s work on these threads have ever shown the kind of bloated ego required to announce the same status for themselves. Hell, I’m an actual lawyer, but transactional, and I just sit back and appreciate the litigators and court professionals giving us the gift of their time and expertise while I listen and learn.

Pearls before swine and all that, I guess. :woman_shrugging:

She’s stated, in writing, that she has recordings of people PLANNING HER MURDER and how they’re going to dispose of her body on their land so that MB can have her horses - yet she stayed.

Putting all the other stuff aside (and there’s so very much other stuff), she HAS PROOF of people planning how they were going to kill her, and she stayed and continued the game (her words, she was playing 3D chess).

That’s the person LK is.

I’m hoping that the Nathan Larson case is available to be watched. He’s evil in a skin suit and he is representing himself.

No - really - he is incredibly twisted. What he did to his first wife (raped and impregnated despite her transitioning to him), admitted to being a pedophile and sought custody of their daughter after he learned of her existence, time spent in a federal prison for threatening to kill a sitting president, etc. He lived with his mother. Who is an advocate for abused spouses (women) and a GAL for minor children. She witnessed the abuse of his second wife and still didn’t throw him out.

But it’s in a federal court so I doubt I’ll ever get to do so. It would still be informative.

It sounds like here she is trying to pretend she never accused MB of any kind of child abuse….

That is some powerful denial…
