MB Civil Trial: JK/KK Contempt of Court?

I think the counted on a number

  1. Get the farm in New Jersey.

But oops. It isn’t really his. So they planted her in Florida next to his Floridian property so when the get that, she’s right there. As in “oh, you don’t have the cash? Sign over the farm. That will work fine.” I personally think that was their end goal.

Does that 1st Barisone attorney work for or near Nagel?

It was my understanding that some very high standing friends of Micheal’s led him to Bilinkas who reviewed the case before accepting it. Regardless, however Michael teamed up with Bilinkas/Deininger, I am so glad he did!!!

Does anyone even remember his name? God he was bad.

Totally agree here!

No idea, but it’s going to be a lot less than if she has a trial and then has to pay those bills.

Good point.

So they (the Ks) are in a world of hurt, whether it gets dismissed now… or goes all the way through to trial. Because I don’t see a way that they “win” at this point.

I’m not much of a gambler personally… if I was in their shoes, and looking at the possibility of eating legal fees for multiple parties (she did launch suits against 3)… good lord… I’d be trying to figure out a way to minimize risk STAT.

It would seem for the very first time, LK is faced with having to answer for all of the horrible things she has done. The trial verdict, I am sure, is the worst that could have happened for the Kanarek family. As long as there were no real legal ramifications for what dear Lauren did along the way, daddy was fine with shelling out money to keep her happy. With this turn of events, the world as they know it might well be falling apart and their dirty laundry will be out for all to see.

I didn’t really see the whole “the Ks want one of his farms” angle earlier in this saga… but now? Now I see it. Crystal clear. You laid it out quite well here.

They must be scrambling. It’s got to be hundreds of hours per lawyer, each. At what, 300 per hour? If she hadn’t eaten up the KS retirement before. It’s gone now. Of course, the could just sign over their Florida property. No? New Jersey, then?

IMHO JK and KK don’t want to submit to Discovery because they wish to conceal something. Because they don’t want to be exposed and found culpable at any level.

So they will be play the delay, stall and refusal game until they have no other choice than to submit if the Court has the willpower to compel them to do so.

The Ks must believe they can get away with it. Or at least a chance of getting away with it. A calculated risk.

The tell, or at least one of them, is when she threatened me to take my farm and homevia a lien. That’s not a threat I’ve heard anyone make to anyone.

And I called her out on it.

A reminder: Whatever you cast out into the universe is returned threefold. This is no different. And I’m in absolute awe watching it.

Early on, Lauren’s atty filed a request to freeze assets on MB specifically pointing out that the farm in NJ was being sold. The judge laughed. Why? He hasn’t had any judgement against him. He can do whatever he wants wirh his assets. She showed her hand right there. She didn’t mention any investments, or retirement, or bank funds, or offshore accounts. She was squealing about the NJ farm being sold. She had said, too, on SM that she would get that farm. It was her plan.

Oh… I bet Silver costs way more than 300 an hour. Same with Deininger and Bilinkas.

And think of all the hours all these lawyers are going to rack up during the discovery process, given that they are going through THOUSANDS of social media posts by LK… then preparing for depositions, etc.

If she had remained silent on social media for the last 2.5 years… she would be in a MUCH better situation right now.

Shoulda woulda coulda…

That’s what she wants. Sorry she did that to you.

Ahhhh, I missed all that. I didn’t really follow this case in any meaningful way until April of this year when it went to trial.

She honestly needs a new attorney, ASAP, who is capable of negotiating an off ramp for her. It does not seem to me like Mr. Nagel is capable of that.

She had to want one though. If she’s telling Nagel she’s not exiting, he can’t negotiate it for her.

Yabbut I don’t think any of the defendents feel there’s any reason to negotiate. Why? Bring it. Wrte ready and we’ll win. Or, just quit. And our bills are paid. Daddy has the money, right?

Whoa. I missed that whole interaction you had with her as well, given that I came late to the MB related discussions on COTH. You had referred to the threats before… but I wasn’t aware of the full content.

That’s nuts. I can certainly understand you watching the way it is unfolding now with a bit of fascination…
