MB Civil Trial: JK/KK Contempt of Court?

If you (general) think about it for a minute, they have trained him. Hopefully he was a good student and learned his trade well enough to exit safely.

If I was one of the Kanerack Klan I’d wonder what else he recorded of other people in other settings.

I would imagine that this trial and the public’s response has been quite enlightening for all, and has maybe made RG come to some personal realizations about who is truly invested in his own interests.

I can also imagine this entire incident and trial has caused a lot of strain on LK and RG’s relationship, which seemed rocky from the start according to testimony. I can’t imagine RG is too happy with his public image right now, and how that may limit future opportunities as well. I would personally feel quite resentful.

When things get real, people tend to have a self-preservation type attitude and who they were once loyal to, they aren’t anymore. I think that LK (and family) has historically proven to be quite invested in their own self interest.

In a lot of ways, I feel bad for RG. He went down with the sinking ship. Yes, he’s a flawed human being with problems and a lot of undesirable behavior, but I don’t think he ever signed up for any of this and is likely a victim to a lot of circumstance. It’s evident no one can control LK’s ego or behavior and I feel she has dug herself, her family, and even RG into a very deep and unforeseen hole.

Do you think RG has any idea what his public image is? Do you think Lauren Kanarek tells him what is said on social media about him?

Well said.

For the addicts I’ve known, it takes hitting bottom to wake up.

He didn’t, at the trial, look to me like someone at “bottom”.

RG is not stupid. Or wasn’t. As mentioned before in other threads he received high scores for his work in NC and his fellow employees apparently liked him. Yes, he had a couple of issues with disappearing and drugs, but he seemed happy and on the right track for the most part. It is my understanding he had several friends while in NC with somewhat of a future. I can’t imagine how he might be feeling since the verdict. Everyone questioned his version of events that became gospel and had to be committed to by all.

He really is a sad sort of character. BUT he almost killed Michael Barisone and potentionally left him damaged for the rest of his life.

How long do you all think it will be before this actually goes to trial if it doesn’t settle or isn’t voluntarily dismissed/withdrawn?

Could be years.

I have wondered if the Not Guilty verdicts, including the lesser charge, had any affect on him.

Ok, I’m a couple of days behind, since I’ve been busy and I did not see this thread until just now. I am trying to get caught up. Lol.

In the meantime, I will add my thanks to those who are kind enough to share their knowledge on the legal matters with the rest of us.

Especially since we’re having motions for contempt and a motion to compel the plaintiff already.

There are two new filings today. I’m not sure what the purpose of them. It also seems the plaintiff attorney has a different viewpoint of what NGRI is.

Good question.

If it’s officially pumpkin spice season, the new tv season should not be far behind.

Actually, legally speaking RG WAS injured and if that injury causes him protracted, long time pain or any limit of hand use (LG and Co continually state his hand was severely broken) he could sue MB but he could also sue LK herself in creating the environment and circumstances that led up to this drama.

And in suing LK, RG would know where all the bodies are buried so to speak.

If he is smart he would hang onto them to ensure he can’t be tossed aside without someone paying a steep price for doing so.

I think he is well aware. I think he’d have to be blind not to know. I am certain he knows LK’s public image is very poor and I think he can make the connection that his is, too. There is plenty of evidence available online regarding their public opinion.

We simply don’t know what RG’s rock bottom is. There are a lot of reasons why addicts “wake up,” and every version is different. Truth is we have no idea where RG is at in his head but I can’t imagine it is a great place to be.

No joke, one of the worst vets I’ve ever seen went to vet school in Bermuda or someplace like that, which is apparently where you go to vet school when you can’t get into anyplace else.

Then he should have left the cast on. Pics of him in the hotel room, with no cast/brace is not necessarily good should he want to claim any ongoing issue.

Except that LK testified under oath in court that she lies a lot on social media. So her statements about the recordings and transcriptions and anything else under the sun might not hold much water.

I’m reminded again of the big dramatic courtroom exchange towards the end of the movie Witness for the Prosecution.
