Is it never plural?
I mean, in this case there are lots and lots of recordings.
I think all jobs have those situations.
I get twitchy when people call that thing in their basement the hot water heater. If the water was already hot then it would not need heating. It is a water heater.
Since Morris County does e-filing, what if they can’t get the chimneys right to get into the website and upload their filings??? What if they are stuck on traffic lights?
Not in my experience. I call them files. Audio files. There are myriad other terms… clips, bites, etc… for specific lengths of audio. Other terms for types of audio (foley, ADR, etc…).
I also don’t refer to single video files as “videos”. I call them clips.
Maybe that’s just me and/or how I was taught, and/or the people I work with?
ETA: I might call an audio file a “clip”, too. I suppose I MIGHT call a bunch of video files either clips or MAYBE “videos”. But I NEVER call a bunch of audio files “audios”.
Yes! That must be it.
What if they got the mountains?
Can you imagine being stuck trying to figure out the mountains and never getting it so you can’t file anything?
Surely there’s another way in for NJ attorneys. But still…what if they are stuck there, clicking on mountain-like things? (And can’t just call the courthouse for help…)
Wow. Some of us seem to have a vivid imagination for creating things that weren’t said. How does one get through life like that (outside of the film-making industry)?
I’d rather have stoplights and busses than to have to type in the stylized number/letter captcha! Always one of the characters is so vague it can’t be made out.
