MB update

That is a HUGE understatement!

Loss of income?

What income?

Maybe this is why she hasn’t been showing much?

Not Eggbutt, but does your question indicate that you have knowledge that LK won’t agree to a settlement? If so, I wonder how that can be, since you continually claim that you have no connection to them whatsoever.

Maybe? Honestly I have no idea. But it’s also why the next few months of discovery could be very interesting.

LOL. No.

I am guessing since she prides herself on her ability to sway anyone to believe what she believes, that she thinks she will be able to convince the jury that she was “on track” before the shooting to make millions with her exemplary riding abilities.

But what other experts could be needed? Like, what experts would LK need (other than the Stache) to further her claims?
[/quote

Basically experts to discuss injury and recovery from injury, and also financial experts to do valuations as well as losses compared to pre-incident finances.

I seem to recall a poster throwing around a specific number around
and suggesting it’ll include an acknowledgment and payment for RG’s Reno work
.

Oh, we were talking about a different settlement offer
never mind

Yep, and MB will have those of his own.

But you have to admit, it’s more fun to think about hypothetical Dressage experts than it is accountants.

In addition to explaining the rudiments of dressage to the jury, the expert witness may also need to give a brief rundown of the USEF amateur rule, and how it applies to the earning potential of a lifelong amateur.

It sure is! It seems like an expert that the plaintiff would call, to outline her physical condition, as the defendant likely doesn’t know what possible impacts he may have yet.

And won’t the financial valuations include not only “income” but net worth (including value of assets)?

Absolutely

This is a very valid point.

You know, that’s a good point. She’s going to have to put that out there.

And in MB’s counter claim, you’re right. He may not know how his injuries impact him. Drawing (and he’s clearly good at that) is just not the same as working with horses. It may take some time to understand his loss in terms of the suit, and to work through any medical issues.

Good point. Although she could allege that after she represented the US on an Olympic team, she would have turned pro and made millions teaching lessons and clinics and importing/training/selling horses. You know, like MB did.

Indeed, and neurological impacts from TBIs can manifest in myriad ways, including balance, memory, processing language, and emotional regulation. He probably doesn’t know yet what if any impact that will have on his riding or teaching abilities going forward.

On an individual level, I certainly hope that Krol hearing goes his way so he can get out and start working on all of those things.

On a much larger scale, it’s easy to see why these kind of suits take so long. In essence, his claim is incomplete at this time.

How would the safesport suspension factor into the civil suit, especially if it isn’t lifted by the time he is released?
