If one knows the judge will not allow a line of questions like about the source of her income, honestly I think the response they got to the one question they could get in was perfect:
A flippant non answer the jury would notice as being at least flippant and probably worse.
Yes. Lots of speculation. Some people have tried to research the family background to see if there was an obvious source of funding. Because for many riders who have family money, it’s pretty obvious how they fund their horses, and very easy to figure out in 30 seconds by doing a Google search.
To date… I haven’t seen any public information that clarifies how Lolly Pop funds any of this. And though she brags and blusters and rants online … and has done so for years… she is awfully evasive about questions regarding finances.
Many many times. She routinely bragged about having money, and sneered at other posters for not grasping what things were like for people such as herself who belong to the upper echelons of society.
In the words of the immortal bard, “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”
Money that, in my opinion, was procured by either too embarrassing or ill-gotten means to admit to.
No one feels the need to keep inheritances, lottery winnings, or legitimate business earnings so hush hush. Most people are proud enough of their work to state what they do/did for a living.
Frankly, there is more publicly available information out there about Rob Goodwin’s professional career as a home renovator/handyman, than there is about LK or JK.
It is known that JK went to law school… but nothing much beyond that is known about his professional career, except that a few decades ago he had some ties to a Wall Street company or two (but it’s unclear what he did).
Yet, it has been stated many many times that LK and JK pay RG’s living expenses, and that RG essentially works as a full time groom and personal assistant for LK now.
She also bragged about getting her Daddy to fudge her tax returns so she could qualify for government subsidized health care and God knows what else. Stupid question I know - but why does someone of unlimited means need government subsidized anything?
It is quite perplexing and quite infuriating. If you cant afford health insurance, you certainly should not have multiple horses. Basically those of us who work, pay for LK and RG.
All while sharing that board, training and the apartment at Barisone Dressage was costing the impressive to her, but paltry to the rest of us sum of $5k.
Which we all recognize as a steal.
Sadly, I know many people who cry poverty but still have horses. There is a woman in town here who has 3? I think but claims she can’t pay her taxes on her land.
