Michael Barisone/Lauren Kanarek Civil Suit

Also, if RC already settled with LK, then wouldn’t there be something in the filings indicating that she’s not a defendent in LK’s suit any more?

And if she did settle - long, long ago - why did it take until now for LK to come sailing in here crowing about what she sees as a victory? How is suing an elderly lady and getting her to settle to make a nightmare of a human being go away any kind of something you want to brag about? What a despicable being.

Weren’t RCs attorneys involved/mentioned in the stuff that was ruled on in November?

My guess is the settlement happened sometime after the Judge’s rulings in November, but before Nagel quit. I might be wrong… but that’s just my hunch.

You know that soon MB will be released. And when he is released he will be welcomed back into the Wellington world. People will immediately want to help him and he will have numerous opportunities to do stuff and enjoy life again.

His name will be remembered for a very long time. His success with horses, appearance on Colbert, his students of note.

There’s another who will be vaguely remembered too, but probably not how they would like to be.

At all.

I think there was in SGFs filing that mentioned other defendants still being part of the liability equation even if they had settled.

Soooo, the settlement must have happened at some point recently. Given the recently updated filing

Did I miss something today? I was so flattered and taken back by @Inigo-montoya’s return from a long hiatus that I must have missed his posts responding to any of Deininger’s exhibits. What did he have to say about the text transcript exhibits or Tarshish’s letter about the strange interaction with the individual Kanareks last year at Global. Or how about his mistake in posting here months ago that he and his wife had responded to the subpoenas and the responses were somehow not received by two separate attorneys? Did he explain why it is now apparent those responses were never sent? Were those posts deleted?

It is still quite curious that he felt the need to announce today about a long ago settlement with RC’s insurance company as though it was a recent event. Perhaps the check just arrived in the past few days and he wanted to celebrate the small victory of an insurance company getting a nuisance suit off their books. Will 48 Hours do the same thing I wonder?

I am pleased that Jonathan Kanarek apparently no longer believes the criminal trial jury was insane since he admitted twice they didn’t like his daughter and did the best they could. After all, the Kanarek’s apparently hold no animosity toward Michael Barisone since they want us to believe it was all MHG’s fault. Will Lauren attempt to train with Barisone again once he is released I wonder?

All in all the interactions with Mr Kanarek today were very unusual IMO.

IF the Kanareks ever file suit against 48 hours…

There is next to zero chance 48 hours would settle it

48 hours did nothing wrong

Well, didn’t one of them post here they were suing 48 Hours? Was it Lauren? Oh, and that suit against USEF that Lauren said she was filing because a show manager changed judges for a class she had entered should really be close to settlement, right? Have I missed other pending suits?

Other than the ones threatened against many of us?

That’s why I used that Colbert lollypop gif… one of the best gifs ever. I’m gonna have to save it to my frequently used responses.

PaPaPop’s credentials weren’t much to begin with, but surely there’s got to be times when he simply rolls the aging eyeballs at the content ascribed to his username?

And… assuming that LaLaPop was the one who couldn’t hold back the sniggering, gloating crow of her cool quarter million ‘windfall’, it was the “child” that posted? :grimacing:

I don’t think @Inigo-montoya is JK. He never said he was. I’m starting to wonder if @Seeker1 is truly KK. I’ve always doubted recording devices were planted, missed by the sweep, and retrieved. If someone was passing on gossip and LK was being creative on SM about recordings, that could certainly have the same effect. She did testify about some but only on her locker area. Then RG seemed to like to record conversations he was in.

It will be interesting to find out.

Awwww… it has been a tough day… well, week actually… around here… and Beth Dutton is just who I needed to set things right. Even if the Dutton family puts the D on Dysfunctional.

It’s beautiful! I had never heard of Fishing cats. Had to google. Thanks for the introduction.

How did you miss the legal notice that IM was in fact JK? He also never denied it. Or maybe you want to believe it was always LK using that IM name…her style is so distinctive that when IM first showed up, it was clearly not her. Seeker1 even admitted she was KK! What on earth…

Or maybe you are just trolling for laughs on a Saturday night… :face_with_raised_eyebrow: … because I am not sure how you could have missed all that. Can someone please post that document that explained all that?

Legal notice? Did not see a legal notice. I did see a “knowledge and belief” statement in a legal filing to get compliance with a fishing subpoena for discovery.

Well, a thousand lashes for me for not using the correct terminology. I do not even pretend to have legal expertise here and IANAL. They would not have filed that if there was any doubt and it is not as if it was a big mystery. Many of us figured IM out from day one - simply due to how he posted and what he said and sneered.

Still waiting for your link to that bizarre conversation you said I had in some other thread where I looked terrible and you admired someone else’s business model… or words to that effect.
