Agreed. I think he already crossed that bridge during the criminal trial though. LK however, has yet to deal with that specific stress.

There is the possibility that if this suit makes it all the way to trial, it won’t be televised. But… I’d imagine Nancy Jaffer would attend it in person again and report on any details that come out in court. And of course, everyone in the equestrian community following the case will see those reports.

I can’t imagine either side will have any privacy left about their mental/emotional health challenges, and personal histories if it goes that far.

I wonder if PopPopRider (Jonathan Kanarek - @Inigo-montoya) and MaMaRider (Kirby Kanarek - @Seeker1) are visiting Florida so Kirby can pick up the transcripts from Lauren Kanarek to answer that ignored subpoena?
They did not want to risk just mailing them.

I think I’ve missed something in the gazillion posts. How do we know they are in Florida?

In all fairness, LK isn’t particularly sophisticated or educated. I seem to recollect that she dropped out of college without completing any degree program. Maybe I’m wrong about that… but that’s what I recollected.

It does seem clear she’s picked up a fair amount of practical legal knowledge over the years though. Perhaps as a result of all her time spent working with attorneys.

You are free to repost the post of mine in which you inferred, incorrectly, that I indicated that I had read a police report. As I’ve already explained, I made statements about a police report based on statements about that police report and others, in the public record. Nothing I said required me to have read the police report. Indeed I had not read the report and never said I did.

You frequently provide mischaracterizations of my posts. On one occasion, you took a single longish sentence of mine and created two different posts quoting two different snippets of my sentence in a way that deliberately distorted the meaning. Reversed the meaning, in fact. When I asked if you thought you were being clever, you responded that indeed, you did consider yourself clever for your misleading snippets.

You also frequently accuse me of “twisting”; an excellent example of the projection device used by professional COTHers. You’re the one who twists snd mischaracterizes my posts, @trubandloki.

I can’t always tell whether your mischaracterizations are deliberate or honest mistakes. It certainly sometimes is deliberate. I think you’ve understood that I never said I read the police report by this point, but are so desperate to harass me that you keep repeating the claim anyway. It’s a form of dishonesty. It’s pathetic. And you think you’re being clever.

I will gladly re-post your police report post where you intentionally or not imply that you have read the police report.
I can not control if others believe your very long after the post explanation of why that post does not say what most people read it as saying.

I mean, clearly, someone with a long term Suboxone use can not just go off it cold turkey so clearly Lauren Kanarek had to continue that medication in the hospital.

Like I said above, I just wonder how the hospital typically learns they have to provide this type of support for someone who comes in unable to communicate.

What evidence is there that is supportive of the claim that MB shot LK in self defense?

1. LK and RGs lengthy history of violent altercations with others that have resulted in multiple arrests in 2 different states for assault, as well assault with a deadly weapon

2. The injuries MB sustained during the altercation that occurred at the farmhouse on 08/07/2019. They were substantial.

The major question about what happened that day boils down to WHO did WHAT, and in WHAT ORDER.

During the criminal trial, we primarily had testimony from LK and RG concerning who did what, and the order. We did have some testimony from ED, the ear witness, as well. But… it was of limited utility.

The credibility of LK and RG is key. And… they have obvious credibility problems. Lots of them. In a civil trial, MBs attorneys will be allowed to THOROUGHLY examine the credibility of the plaintiff.

Also, if this case goes to trial, this time around, MB might testify.

We really don’t know how this could all unfold if it actually goes to trial. However, we do know it will involve evidence and dynamics on the witness stand that will be VERY different than what happened during the criminal trial.

Yeah, can you actually imagine a horse person on an Internet forum actually having a name that refers to the fact they show “cutting” horses? See, it is a team efforts between the horse and rider to “cut”! Do you know what lengths I need to go to to keep the knives or anything sharp away from these darn horses?

Did you know these horses also have more than one national association dedicated to keeping these horse’s rights to cut?

Amazing what time can do after this:

Time and hospital and medical care that he decided not to pay for. Gotta save his funds for the lawyer expenses.

Lawyer expenses for his defense and also to file a suit as plaintiff against the town authorities, including the policemen who probably saved the life of LK.
