Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

If there’s a record of LK paying for/buying the recorders that would be a pretty clear statement of intent, I’d think.

And in Wisconsin, Bloody Mary’s are also Sunday brunch.

Yes!

Wouldn’t it be ironic if there were a recording of LK telling RG where to put them? That would be fun.

Didn’t she testify as to where she bought some of the audio recording devices? Or was it discussed on the forums? I can’t remember. I thought it all somehow involved the woman she used as an agent when importing horses.

Maybe she bought them from Amazon?

She testified she bought them on Amazon on July 31st.

Only problem is, she posted many, many times about the recordings prior to that date. And So… :woman_shrugging:

That was about video cameras. Her FB post on April 20 (Yes, April) said she had installed video cameras (that she didn’t purchase until Aug 5th per her interrogatories) around the farm.

When asked in the criminal trial, she said she lied.

Holy. Cow.

That looks like a whole day’s worth of calories. And then some!

I went to you tube and watched snippets of their testimony, just to remember how LK and RG came off under oath in front of a jury.
Oh dear, it wasn’t good.

I hope that they can at least come across as maybe half again as sincere this time (not that that will help them.) They couldn’t pull it off then, and if they can’t do any better now, they will have one very pissed off jury on their hands. Jury duty takes away from jurors real lives, and no one appreciates having their time wasted.

Honestly, I have to congratulate Mr. Bilinkas for not screaming at LK and RG in frustration during the criminal trial. Bless his heart, he’s a pro.

Gray was born in my County. I pass the sign of his birthplace regularly.

It certainly is something to watch, isn’t it?

I feel like Mr Bilinkas looks forward to another round with them. Even if he has to bring extra reading glasses for RG, so they don’t have to share this time.

I still remember Mr. B loaning out his reading glasses to them on the witness stand. That was incredible.

Yes, I think MB’s attorneys are raring to go. It was obvious that they had the goods in the criminal trial, but were restrained by rules that won’t hold them back in the civil matter.

Yep. Add SGF’s attorney into the mix and, well, things might get rough.

If Mark Silver questions them like he writes, that could be painful for LK and crew.

I really, really would love to watch that deposition with LK.

:+1: It could be painful to watch though. Just like the testimony in criminal court was.

It’s just such a sad situation. It’s difficult for me to find it entertaining because the Ks are so horrifying and Barisone’s life has been turned upside down. It’s interesting in a legal sense, but not really fun to follow.

There undoubtedly will be a lot of “I don’t recollect”

Sometimes when there are significant cases in the news, reporters will share stats with respect to how many times a key witness answered “I don’t recollect” to questions they were asked during a deposition. That can be quite telling.
