Apparently I missed 4K posts… Anything of note or just the same tired arguments over and over?
JK/KK are in contempt again. New judge. Looks like LK should be deposed soon. You can ignore the rest.
I doubt Florida would want to apply NJ law in their courts. They don’t really have jurisdiction, 4 years after the fact.
But I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone try to motion that, especially if it meant GAS would be able to wave goodbye; Lk can’t be an easy client.
They’re in contempt again??? Not surprised. They think the laws don’t apply to them. I can’t wait to see what comes out in the depositions.
Lots of great drawings explaining how the civil case works. Those are 100% worth reading/seeing. We have lots of very talented people here.
Agreed. Talented and generous.
I’m not asking whether “Florida” would “want to apply NJ law in their courts.” What does that even mean?
I’m asking whether it’s remotely possible from a procedural point of view to move the trial to a Florida court with a Florida superior court judge, when the cause of action and possible wiretapping violations occurred in NJ and none of the attorneys are licensed to practice law in Florida.
Knights_Mom:Whether or not that is granted is anyone’s guess.

Might as well move to FL. Nothing for either MB or LK in NJ whichever way the judgement goes.
Unless of course JK/KK get brought in….

QFP. Let’s see how this one ages.

@CurrentlyHorseless Why not ask SierraMist?
I saw that the other day and completely thought of the Kanareks!
Even though the events happened in NJ, once MB is firmly domiciled in Florida it is entirely possible for a change of venue based on residence be made. Whether or not that is granted is anyone’s guess.
Not great for JK who thinks he can manipulate NJ courts. Proably not going to happen as it hapeend in NJ with NJ laws and NJ legal system involved?

It sure seems possible with all the delays the Kanareks are causing that the case(s) could certainly be transfered to FL eventually. Gosh, it would be easier for everyone being in the same state, wouldn’t it?
I wonder if GAS is barred/licensed in FL?
Oh, I wonder if the suit against CBS 48 Hours was filed in FL, NJ or some other state? Maybe the Kanareks found a BOGO attorney!
Edit to correct ABC to CBS. At least I got the 48 Hours correct!

And today’s winner of the Interwebz is @Joanne!
Congratulations Joanne!
ABC 48 Hours
48 hours is on CBS.
If the LK’s cases were moved to Florida, then MB, SGF, and RC would have to get new attorneys = new delays. I bet the K’s would be happy with that move. Is it totally up to LK to move the cases (if it can be done) ? Maybe SierraMist would know.
Ah, yes! Thank you!! I’ll edit!
