Unless their current attorneys are barred/licensed in FL, right?
I guess so. It doesn’t look like Bilinkas, Deininger, or Silver are, though.
I guess the Ks can drag it out until several of the attorneys retire I guess. Quite obviously they are in no hurry after all, which is strange considering all the hoopla from them over the past years.
A couple of threads back, I found where a homeowner does not need to be licensed to perform home repairs and a person such as a handyman did not need to be registered as a home improvement contractor in New Jersey. That seems to clearly apply in some situations but it seemed a bit fuzzy to me in others. I found New Jersey has a Repair and Deduct course of action established under Marini vs Ireland 1970 where a landlord is required to keep rental property habitable and if unable to do so, the tenants make the repair and deduct the cost from the rent payment. This gives the “barter” arrangement more of a legitimacy than I had thought. While some articles do recommend a written agreement for this, it does not have to be. I’ll list some of the links.

Habitability Bulletin
Link to Morris County New Jersey Building Code which contain links to what requires permits and licenses and what does not. A great deal of the work to repair the water damage did not need a permit or an inspection. RG/LK as tenants did not appear to need a registration. MB as landlord did not appear to need a registration.
Some of the work did appear to have needed a 3rd party perform the work. Certainly the septic system at the barn needed increased capacity. The smoke detectors maybe. If they were battery smoke detectors they would not. That is one explained in the links.

Ordinary maintenance link follows. This does not require permits or notice.

Cool article on Marini vs Ireland 1970

Go read the briefs. They make your point moot by making it clear RG wasn’t doing “handyman” jobs.
I thought he was doing sheet rock and tiling. Also, the smoke detectors were wired, so that would need to be licensed electrical. All this requires license, and I wouldn’t compare 1970 to now.
I think licensed people would know this. Hence, the licenses. But maybe @hut-ho78 knows better!
The homeowner did not do the repairs. A 3rd party who did the work for compensation did. That requires a permit. RG living there means squat. The repairs were done to offset HORSE BOARD as testified to in open court.
Found some interesting articles on delusion disorder. Here is one. After reading more on the subject, I hope MB is participating in proffered group therapies now.
Like when a narcissist is told to move out, they are unwanted and NO, no one will teach them.
Narcissistic collapse happens when someone with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) can no longer uphold their grandiose, confident image. When this occurs, they feel profoundly threatened. As a result, they tend to become enraged, resulting in impulsive behavior, intense lashing out, or hurting other people. While this reaction isn’t usually intentional, it’s a way to re-establish a sense of control.
Who has been diagnosed by a licensed psychiatrist or psychologist with NPD?

“You have seen no greater wrath than a narcissist wound . When you take away a narcissists supply source, all Hell breaks loose! Make no mistakes; taking on a narcissist is no simple task . Prepare for battle; no, better yet, prepare for full on WAR. You know the saying, there is no fury like a woman scorned, well, I contend that a woman scorned pales in comparison to a narcissist being told, No, and losing a source of supply. There is no greater anger to come up against than when a source of narcissistic supply turns on their narcissist, trying to grasp a small fragment of whats left of their self-esteem.”
Sorry, wrong thread.
Its rare that a narcissist will agree to therapy. The ones that do are oriented towards self, and sometimes therapy its self is a narcissistic supply. The ones that are so wounded by withdrawal of their narcissistic supply in their environment often cannot overcome that enough for self reflection, but some are so taken by their own uniqueness that they plumb the depths of themselves with delight. Its a complicated diagnosis, and some will never get help.
No, no! Its entirely appropriate!
It’s nice to hear that. I think I’ve been paying attention to too many conversations and perhaps confusing them?.
I was thinking of the political pretender Santos, and of the equally weird Kanareks.
Both bizarre and neither would I want to encounter.
Well I haven’t read that one, maybe I should give it a go.
