I really don’t understand how the judge in the case seems to be just flat out disregarding the laws in this area with no consequences.
If the law plainly says the next hearing must be held in three months with treatment until then, how does he get away with arbitrarily changing it to six months in a facility with no treatment? I don’t get it.

Also, how does Taylor keep that job? Is it an elected position? Or was he appointed?
Just wondering what it would take to shine some light on his apparent disinclination to actually adhere to the law.

I couldn’t say. One would have to cross-check the official state/local records to ascertain where he was and who he worked for/with at any particular time. One thing that could be illuminating would be to cross-reference the prosecutors-in-office from the numerous Goodwin-Kanarek charges and see if they have any official or informal ties to anyone else, like Schellhorn or his boss or Taylor himself.
