Well, if you didn’t suspect already, this is proof positive Lauren Shay Kanarek is no actress. If she had ever been in front of a camera she would know the definition of a “blooper” piece of film. Just because you are laughing at someone who (once again, LK, ) doesn’t know they are being filmed doesn’t make a “blooper”.
I was really disappointed with Grandads. But I know they are much loved. To be a good Hamiltonian you have to love Grandad’s donuts, Roma Pizzas and the Ti-cats, lol. I’m striking out! But I do go for Hutch’s fish and chips.
Dark chocolate only (never milk) fro La Maison du Chocolat AND fresh flowers (but not roses).
I do Galentine’s Day with my daughter each year. We sit down at La Maison and I get a glass of champagne and she gets a fancy soft drink. I get the set of three chocolates and she gets a pastry.
Then, like a tiny miracle, we take 3 steps to the shop literally next door and it’s…Jo Malone! We smell all the perfumes and check out what’s new each year and finally decide on one scent each and they engrave the metal bottle tops for us and we glide home feeling very special indeed!
I love chocolates but can skip over the flowers because my cats would destroy them. A dinner out is a nice treat but restaurants are so crowded by us so we celebrate on a different day.
Many times it is just a quiet evening at home on the actual day.
I tell my husband what I’d like to get so it makes it easier for him. This year my hint is a spring bouquet and Snowcaps. And a card where he professes his undying love for me.
He likes a certain foreign chocolate so I get that for him. We never go out to eat on V Day because I hate it. It’s crowded and the menus are limited. I prefer to go out another night where it’s not crowded.
I used to know a girl who worked for Amazon, she said they are absolutely delighted that people have paid good money for a device that sits in their home and monitors them 24/7, feeding all that info back to Amazon. She could not believe that people would actually pay for a spy in their home, and said she’d never have one.
It was HUGE growing up in Australia. Every single kids party had fairy bread, party pies, “little boys” and most also had “frog in a pond” - we thought it was heaven.
Me too. We had an Alexa for less than 24 hours about 6 years ago, because a friend had a spare. I didn’t want it at all, but my hubby linked it all up, and that night we were sitting watching a drama with the lights low and all of a sudden it started up “I’m sorry, I don’t understand that” - I nearly had a heart attack! Walked over, unplugged it at the wall, threw it in a cupboard - it’s been there ever since.
Used to love Eszet “chocolate for bread” in Germany. It’s thin squares of chocolate made to go on bread. Crusty fresh bread, salty French butter, a slice of Eszet = absolute heaven. You don’t heat it, you eat it cold.
I’ve never used Siri on my phone. As a friend of mine said, “I don’t even let my husband tell me what to do. Why would I let my phone boss me around?” Lol.
We have an Alexa in an empty bedroom no one ever goes in. I find it creepy. We do have a few at the barn - one in the indoor to play music when we ride if we want.
