Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

Don’t care what you think and no part of me expected you to agree. Guess why.

I LOVE this word, than you for introducing it into my vocabulary!

Discussing the absurd aspects of this case and the vile behavior of the K Klan does not qualify as bashing or harassing them. Give their own history of lies, lies and more lies, they are the only ones responsible for the negative feeling towards them. Liars that are outed again and again deserve what they get. It may be hard for certain posters to believe that, but maybe they should look at the comments on YT after the trial to understand just how the grifters were looked at by people OUTSIDE of the equestrian world and not just the small community here. People who have NEVER heard of them prior to the trial.

It is also extremely frustrating that the K’s can just try to drag this case out forever and not just be compelled to comply or else. Especially for parties that INIATED the suit. Jeeze…

I didn’t say I “think” your narrative is wrong.

I said I know it’s wrong. I have a counterexample. Me.

Thanks for the laugh. Since you feel it was so clearly written, perhaps you could extrapolate as to who the “Michael Goodwin” GAS references is?

I would expect that MB was considered the “managing” partner and thus didnt need to gain consent regarding day to day management decisions.

That is a very good question @BatCoach.

But, Hut did get some things right.

Lovely Clarity - Yes, there is some lovely clarity. Now we know GAS has not actually waded thru the whole case, watched the criminal trial and is clearly just taking the word of the Kanarek family.

Perspective - Yes again. There sure is perspective. The perspective of GAS’s clients, which is full of lies and omissions, and GAS proved he is cool with that by filing those documents.

Not that what I am about to write will make any difference whatsoever; but I don’t think anyone here has ever dismissed LK’s injuries. What most people disapprove of is her distortion of the truth and her contribution and possible JK’s and KK’s as well to the very sad and preventable event of 8/7/19.

The event just did not have to happen.

The lies before the event and the lies after the event. Things proven in the criminal trial. Things that have come out since then that in all probability will be proven in the civil trial.

How many people stay where they are not welcome?

If LK had just left and acted like a civilized adult human being instead of an entitled brat, all this could have been prevented.

If she had just left. Why didn’t she leave? Why did she have to follow through with her plan to finish the bastard?

As an add-on to my PSA regarding Crumbl and free cookies – I was visiting Lexington, KY, not Lexington, VA. I am thinking maybe at newly opened shops, cookies are free only after everyone that works at the shop are sick of them and have tons in their freezers at home. Just a thought. . .

Sure.

Maybe it’s a typo or whatever… ??
I mean Michael Goodwin, for example?

Like people who pre-order Girl Scout cookies, then disappear? Leaving people with cases of cookies in their home? I’ll take a few of those boxes at a steep discount, thanks.

There are always going to be outliers going against the vast majority, even after being shown the absurdity of their actions/beliefs. Perfect modern example was the rise of QAnon with people believing outrageous things. I guess prior to QAnon there was the grocery store tabloids like “National Enquirer”. Most read that junk for amusement but there were always a few who believed the insanity. What these outliers believe and say is of no consequence unless it affects someone else in a negative way. To my knowledge no one here has posted anything untrue about any Kanarek and proof has always been presented if necessary.

So, just pretend some frequent posters are the National Enquirer in the check out line - read the headline, chuckle and walk on by! :relaxed:

My favorite is the following clause: “[m]ost damming…” Damming? Isn’t that what beavers do?

I get not wanting to write the correct word, but there’s lots of available synonyms.

Quite sloppy.

I’m always interested in motive. Knowing motive enables you to anticipate, plan and negate.

I’ve worked out the motive as a most likely reason for the continued dedication to a position.

Someone posting on another site, I believe it was YT, claimed to be her cousin. No one has posted here on COTH and claimed to be a cousin or sister, AFAIK.

Noooo. But my mom would sometimes take me there to pick up an order and get me a marzipan pig as a special treat. :pig: :pig2:

I LOVE marzipan and could never understand how anyone could not like it…until I tried some from a grocery store that tasted like glue (not that I ever Intentionally tried glue!). For good marzipan, try Odense brand. It’s sold in the baking aisle at grocery stores.

I’ll think of you when I do exactly that!

Yeah, I remember good marzipan and then having that awful stuff elsewhere and understanding why people would hate it. If that was my only exposure to it, I’d hate it too. Blech.

Like…gouda cheese. My husband only ever had that awful stuff in red wax. I introduced him to Beemster goat gouda and watched his reaction. It was priceless.
