I have been in contact recently but what is up? Can you give more details?
Missing as in, you normally talk/message to her on a regular basis and she hasn’t responded by phone/internet? Missing as in you’ve been to her house and she doesn’t seem to be there? If it was someone I talked to regularly and they disappeared for seemingly no reason, I’d probably try to contact other friends/family first to make sure the person didn’t just go on vacation or have a super busy week or something. If it’s only been 2 or 3 days that can be as simple as someone traveling where there’s no cell signal. If it reached the point where I was truly concerned about someone and didn’t live in their area, I would ask the local police to do a welfare check. (Or if I went to their house and things seemed amiss, like animals uncared for, signs of a break in or disaster, and all their vehicles are there but they don’t seem to be.)

Her beloved Maxwell died a week ago. He was her everything. She was going though a rough time financially. Had no food, utilities shut off. Sheriff has done a few wellness checks. She was on FB every day but never shared Maxwell’s passing. No one can get a hold of her since Monday afternoon. Trucks gone. She had no where to go and no money.
All I can do is offer prayers and jingles that she is OK and realizes that she has friends who care if she will only reach out.

Does she have family in NC or nearby?

A friend of mine in FL went MIA when hurricane cut off his power for weeks.
His Aunt finally posted on FB when her calls went unanswered & the network there found him - safe, but literally in the dark.
Sounds to me like losing Maxwell may have been the final tie cut to what sounds like a disintegrating home situation.
With little left to lose, maybe she abandoned ship, got in her truck & headed for ???

Someone needs to file a missing person report and have the LEA begin the process of filing a subpoena for her phone records and bank account to see if any charges have been made. Time is always of the essence with a missing person. That being said, if there were no signs of distress you may have a very hard time having a local agency even accept a missing person report. If you know of any family or friends out of state I would notify them as well since she may be traveling towards them with the intent of dropping in unannounced. I’m sorry that she is missing and I hope she is found quickly.

FWIW, depending on the phone carrier company, LE may not need a subpoena to have the carrier ping the phone for a location (sometimes all it takes is a call by an LE supervisor to the carrier; the agency should know how to do this). The carrier won’t divulge text or call records but most will ping to locate the phone if the person is unable to be located and there are concerns for the individual’s safety.

It’s just bad policy to give the location or personal contact info of a person to an anonymous unknown stranger without asking permission of the person first. One has no way of knowing if there are restraining orders or stalking situations involved.

I didn’t realize she had lost Maxwell. I have no doubt she’s devastated. If someone does catch up to her please give an update. I sincerely hope she’s okay. She did have family out this way but that was ages and ages ago.
Last winter a cowboy went missing in Merritt BC. His friends in Wyoming put up a facebook page to help with the search. Sadly no updates from the RCMP.
It’s okay to post the flyer on your own page. Be sure to respect privacy issues that are real.
If the sheriff’s department is “too busy” to deal with a missing person case, why haven’t you tried the state police?
