Unless all those horses have pasterns a foot long, there is far more going on under those bandages.

My guess is that they are rolling their hooves under themselves to walk (and why would she torture them by making them walk!?!) and they were getting sores on the front of their fetlocks from doing it. Because they couldn’t stand on their feet. Actually, that isn’t just a guess because you can see the sores on the front of a couple of horses’ fetlocks in some of the earlier pictures.

My mind can somewhat wrap around her mental illness. It cannot wrap around the fact that other people seem to be assisting her. WTH?!?! And why are the DOA and NJSPCA so unwilling to do anything? Laziness? Why, in this day and age, are obvious cases of abuse so damned difficult to stop? It seems the best option we have is to pray she gets killed in a car accident, has a heart attack, or an aneurysm.

From what I just read on the Stop MT facebook page, she has sued people repeatedly for trying to stop her, or for accusing her of cruelty.
She has money from this woman who is paying her to run a RESCUE.
And yet she continues to be left alone.
The NJ SPCA was given this information over a year ago.
So this is like some sick nightmare, No one can stop this?
The NJ SPCA says it is not their responsibility to find temporary shelter for these animals?? WHAT THE F are they good for. I officially have lost all respect for these so called animal welfare organizations.
They KNOW this is going on and yet they make excuses, She has to be stopped.

It would make a difference whether the money was given to her “rescue” or to her personally.

I know that European countries are much better about learning English than we are about learning a second language, but is there any chance that there’s a language barrier with the benefactor? I’m clutching at straws here. The benefactor would just have to look at her Facebook page to see enough to shut off the funds, if not take other action.

I hope the cats at least can run away. I think about my poor kitties on the rare occasion where I trim a toenail too short. I know everyone keeps mentioning whiskers but I can’t believe their little paws are safe from this horrible person.

Like Sannois, I’m sort of obsessed with this now. The saddest thing I read was that animal control or the NJ SPCA, not sure which, is getting irate at the number of calls they are getting. Irate? I fear that the next step will be digging in their heels and saying “well then we’re not going to do anything”. Because they’re irate. Appalling, all around.

I hesitate to say what I am thinking, but the horses would not be who I would be shooting. Sure she sleeps in the barn, she HAS to know what does is wrong. Most serial killers know!
Oh god, this is so heinous, and like I said a bad dream that you cannot fix because the “Good” guys are “Irate”
Does anyone live in NJ that knows a county Animal control officer? Not that that would probably work either. Local vets?

I wonder if she has dementia or has sustained a TBI and is losing her cognition. I can’t hate the woman because I think she thinks she is doing the right thing, even though she obviously isn’t. The authorities need to step in and save the horses from her.

To all who have registered concern and outrage about Monica Thors on this website, I too am deeply concerned and frustrated. Please be advised that law enforcement, the leadership of the NJASPCA, horse rescue agencies, legal counsel and members of her family in Sweden all with whom I have been and am in contact are working to resolve the situation. An action plan is being developed to expedite resolution. Hopefully, we can achieve appropriate redo;union this weekend or early in the new week.
In the meantime, please no threats against Monica Thors, her former sponsors or others be posted on this website. It could complicate the matter and interfere with resolution achievement.

Benefactor no longer gives money according to an email from the farm posted yesterday on the SMT post to pages section. Supposedly NJ SPCA was there yesterday but I can’t ask them on their fb page as they have blocked me - cowardly act imo
If all this publicity has lit a fire under their butts to do the right thing then block me all you want.
