More barn drama! (you know you love it) FINAL UPDATE page 13

Excellent !

Thank God and Greyhound you are gone!!!

YEAH!
You got your peace & quiet back!
Never to allow it to be stolen from you again!

GREAT news, TB…File the experience away-you will need to call on it again, I can assure you. When that little inner voice gives you a hinky feeling about a possible boarder in the future-listen to it! I did, and it saved me from a repeat “user” coming into my barn.

Have a wondeful holiday season!!

Great update!

Do keep things locked up. She is not a sane person.

OP, so happy for you!!! Now we need someone else to post a good barn Drama…

I suppose you are happy to see her go, not wanting any more interaction with her, but I seem to recall you could have her sign that IOU, so you can deduct the loss from your taxes…

Depending on how big the amount is I suppose, if it’s worth the extra extra hassle.

Other than that, did you have that party yet?

Damn, And here I was hoping for a monday update…It was on friday

Glad this chapter is closed (ish, pending money) now to enjoy your barn the way you should

Just curious- has anyone helped out someone who professes to be on a tight spot and it turned out OK?[/QUOTE]

No.

Actually… last summer I rehomed my QH who was telling me he didn’t want to be a dressage pony. My friend offered me her daughter’s retired Appendix QH to have something to ride until I got something else. Subsequently, her marriage unraveled and her husband left her with an upside down farmette which she is trying to sell but may end up losing. I told her not to worry, I’ll take care of her horse until Spring, even though I don’t really ride him and he’s kind of an idiot. I got his feet back in shape and had him power-floated, and he’s gained about 150 lbs. he needed (I have great pastures, she did not). I feel great about doing all this, because when I was young, many people helped me with my pony, when I was a kid who didn’t know anything and didn’t have any money. I feel like I’m paying it forward.

A little over a month ago, we got a beautiful Holsteiner who was initially out of our budget. The owner just liked us, liked my barn, and made us a deal we couldn’t refuse. My daughter is over the moon (she is just starting dressage and he will be her schoolmaster), and I can’t help but think that the karma from what I’m doing for my friend’s horse brought this beautiful warmblood into our lives.

TBRocks. So happy for you!
