I know, right? They are so cute, and even though they’re only a week old tomorrow (well, tonight), their eyes are starting to show signs of opening soon.
At that point, they must move into the crate in the barn with their mum, so they can start to crawl around in a safe place!

These little guys showed up on a friend’s farm this week. Fortunately Mamma cat showed up on the second night (all the food was gone and kittens were happy). After she stocked up on KMR of course.
3 blacks and one tabby. Tis the season for dumping cats on farms.

A few years she and SO were driving home from a night out. She spotted something funny in the drainage ditch and they stopped to investigate. 16 totally tame kittens, tiny but very friendly. She’d been drinking and was a little wobbly but she and her cat-loving SO collected them all. She appealed to the feed store and the local newspaper for donations and they bottle-fed every one of them. Being bottle babies they are extremely friendly and swarm your car when you visit. Take a walk along the levee and it’s a total cat parade. All neutered and locked up at night.

Not quite! It’s a sticker on a clear panel that makes up the kitten pen.
Funny story, I have a kitten cam in that room and I was staring at that stupid sticker for about 5 minutes last night at dusk trying to figure out if one of the kittens fell out of the nest/bed before I remembered that it was a sticker.

They kept them. Still have them. Then her “Tuffy” appeared, tiny cross-eyed Siamese. She had 7 (!) kittens. All were placed. Then they spied 3 out in a field on a scorching July day. Caught 2 and I took them. (The male had to be PTS because of a chronic internal condition that did not improve).

Panda Bear and Pippa Pipsqueak. Squeak (guess who has opinions about being picked up?) has 4 perfectly matched mittens and the most symmetrical white on her face I’ve seen in a while. Hopefully my guesses about sex are correct but at least the panda and squeak part of the name are unisex!
