Weāre 5 weeks today, and ate for the first time by ourselves! (There were a few issues with āmine!ā āNo, itās MINE!ā āDie!ā But in the end, everyone got full.)

My foster kittens took forever to get to the starving* swarming terrorist stage, but they are fully there now. 
Mom stayed for spaying at their 2nd shot series since she was bone dry (hence the reason I had to supplement them with kmr). Even though they were both gaining weight and I had seen them eat wet and dry, obviously mom must have been nursing at some point, because they kind of stalled in weight gain and appetite after that. So there I was, back again with the kmr, a tiny bit of syringe feeding and a whole lot of trying to trick them into eating. Ah kittensā¦ As usual it went nowhere for a few days and then all of a sudden the light bulb went off on their wee kitten brains and food monsters were born.
And now we have psychos.

Oh, thatās actually a manuscript Iām working on. The book Iām reading was safely put away before the kittens were unleashed.

Oh, this particular one is a romance . . . which I donāt usually write, but with the work on the historical nonfiction going nowhere slow, I needed a break and this is what I decided to write instead.

Maximus still hates them.
Ham and Itty-bitty have met them. Both are stand-offish, but not outwardly hostile. No one else has met them yet, but Mick and Sassy no longer sleep with me.
