Most Bizarre gone wrong thread?

I didn’t see any either, so I asked the Moderator and was told It was an expletive laden post that has been deleted.

Sorry! I should have gone into more detail, but I didn’t want to get a warning from the Mods myself. Yes, she was very erratic, using language that is definitely ban-worthy, accusing other posters of not supporting her, calling people names and calling them “legions” (demons). Several people asked her if she was all right, only to be told that they were the ones with the problem, not her. She was encouraged to seek help. No idea if she did. The awful part is that some people taunted her and egged her on.

It was all very, very sad. As I said before, I don’t condone her actions or words one bit, but I honestly think she was/is having some issues, because her behavior reminded me so much of homeless people I dealt with as a public librarian, people in need of care and shelter.

Or at least someone who might know her IRL can update us.

Yes probably because of this thread. People checked it out and posted that they couldn’t believe they had missed it. Posted about a study and quoted the findings.

Then misread by the OP who thought they were the posters findings and off we go again.

Not really a whole-thread trainwreck by my definition. Whatever contentiousness is in the thread, it is fact-based more than personal.

It’s rolling through several interesting aspects. OP claimed to be preserving anonymity for the trainer she is discussing, but gave enough details that trainer has been identified by virtually everyone, even by people who know nothing about that corner of the horse world. OP has been challenged on her facts and intent. Some posters seem to doubt her side of the story. Side trails have launched on things like manipulation of registration papers and pedigree, legal issues, exposure of OP’s daughter on the internet (who appears to be an adult), assertions that the core physical issue with the horse is in fact bogus, and so on. Lots & lots of speculation about the many gaping holes in the story. Some people appear not to believe OP’s story is the whole truth.

It’s good of the OP to keep the thread updated and not disappear.

Did anyone ever find out why denali was behaving the way she was? I was very worried about her-- it seemed like a mental breakdown of some kind, what with calling people “legions” and the other aberrant behavior.

She claimed it was all some sort of weird “gotcha” prank to somehow troll all of us, but I don’t think so. It definitely read like someone in a drunk text binge or going though a mental health crisis, and many of us did urge her to seek help. The legion attack on another poster was beyond bizarre.

I also think she is still actively posting under another name. There is a poster who uses word for word her same anti-Canadian arguments and “nuance” phrases in the political threads. Coincidence? Probably not.

Oh, sweet baby Moses. I hope not. I truly think she had a mental breakdown of some sort and the last thing she needs is to be posting again. We, all of us, are going through a health crisis (COVID-19) that most of have never seen the like of, which is stressful enough. For people with underlying issues, it’s multiplied manifold.

Oh, snap! Wasn’t there one a out a barn worker in texS who had the owners of a boarding barn tie a known puller to a tree up high and turn a hose on it and it hung its self, with horrid marks left on the tree, Nd a muddy scrabble mess and they tried to cover it up?

This is the one I was going to mention! I remember it vividly, including the grainy Blair Witch-style video that starts with the camera pointed at the ground while someone is walking across the yard and ends at the tree which looked to have blood and scraped earth at the base, along with blood on the tree trunk (if I remember correctly). The trainer’s/BO’s name started with an “A” I think?
