Hi Everyone,

Here’s a pic. As you can see they fit like a glove! I’m a 10 slim. To IrishWillow, I received my boots in about 5 days but I live one state over from Equestrian Collections. Virginia to Texas will probably take a bit longer. Did you take advantage of their free shipping offer?

OMG! They are freaking gorgeous. I’m so tempted…

I wish they’d come out with this in a dress boot. Sigh…

silly question; is the height measurement to the back of the knee, or the top of the spanish-cut part?

Back of the knee.

There is also a nice snap, zipper keeper thingie to hold the zipper tab down so it doesn’t flop around when you walk or ride but you can’t see that in my photo or on the Mountain Horse website. A nice feature that doesn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere.

Amazing! I was starting to give up hope of ever finding off tall-enough boots for under $800.00+. Of course, I still don’t have an extra $500.00 sitting around, but it’s a much more reachable goal

Can I take advantage of your kindness and ask another question? How do you find the footsize runs? The U.S. - Euro conversions seem to be a little off. I tend to take a 42 Euro, but not an 11 U.S. - thoughts?

Happy to help! I’m a US10 in street shoes and in Mountain Horse boots. I fit into a 10 in all the Mountain Horse styles that I own and they all fit great however some styles give a bit more room in the toe box than others. The Supreme is definitely more form fitting than any other boot that I have purchased from them.

Mountain Horse only offers full sizes, not half sizes, so it seems you are in-between but I think you may get into the size 10 if you wear a slim boot sock. I wear Zocks which are super slippery and offer some compression in the calf area so they are great to wear with tall boots.

You can always order both a 10 and an 11, take advantage of one of the free shipping offers that are out there, and then only have to send one pair back. Just a thought…

Hope this helps!

I normally have a very hard time fitting into off the shelf boots, I’m between a regular and wide calf. So I bought these to see if they’d work. What I found was that the calf if perfect, much like the Monacos, and they start dropping and breaking in right away. The one thing I’m hesitant about is the spanish top part, is much wider than the rest of it and is too loose. Has anyone else had that problem? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the time and money to get just the top taken in.

Anyone have any pictures of these while mounted?

I love them! But of course they changed the measurements all around so none of them would ever fit! UGH. Finding a field boot that actually fits & looks decent is just totally out of the question for me! MH gets a big wag of the finger on that one.

My street shoe/paddock boot size is a U.S. 8.5 normally, so I went with the size U.S. 9 when I bought my Mountain Horse paddock boots and they fit fine w/ normal socks. I’ve never worn their tall boots, so this may not matter, but thought I’d throw my 2 cents in.

Height?

Those of you buying these boots - they are a bit higher than Ariat’s “regular” height but shorter than their “tall” height.

Anyone that has these had Ariats as well and what did you take in them?

(I am worried these are going to be a touch too tall for me - I’m a regular in Ariats and these are just about a full inch taller…just wanting to see how people are dealing…)

Those look great on you!

WOW

Well???

It’s been a week or so since this thread was last replied to and several of you said that you have ordered the boots…

Soooo…what do you think?! Pictures? Us poor people need to live vicariously through you for a little while!

Hey there, has anyone from Canada ordered these boots ? Apparently we wont be getting them up here till after august I was told. So must order from the states ! Where did you order them from ?

I ordered them blindly and I THINK I am going to love them!!

They came in on Friday, but I had ordered a size 11 (I know…huge feet) and they sent a size 11 box…but the boots in the box were a 10. :frowning:

Was able to barely…and I mean barely…SQUEEZE into them. The next size up gives me an extra little bit in the calf and are also about 1/2 inch taller. So I think they’ll be perfect.

Likes: awesome footbed, really…really…nice soft leather - you take the free inflatable boot trees out of them and they fall over, talk about no break in time. Love the tapered ankle and elastic laces. Good YKK zipper - you know…the one Ariat puts in AFTER their first zipper breaks.

Dislikes/Unsure: Some people without skinny ankles (like me) may have a bit of trouble with these. It is tapered at the ankle and then fairly high up into the calf before it flares back out. If you have even the slightest hint of a “cankle”, you might have some challenges. I would say it was very tapered and fitted for about four inches above the ankle bone. That was the hardest part for me to get zipped. Widest part of the calf wasn’t a challenge at all. Other thing - not so sure how I’m going to feel about the height/Spanish top. The pair I tried on looked actually a bit short on me which was weird - their height was 19.3 inches…and I normally take regular heights in Ariat (18 7/8 inches). Not sure what that is all about. But the next size up is a 19.7 inch height so I’ll see how those go.

I’m an 11 medium height, regular calf in Ariat - but can get away in the talls without too much pain if I need to (ie clearance boots!). I would say these boots (size 11 regular calf) are actually a bit wider in the upper calf area than the Ariats (I think they are 15.75 while the Ariats are 15) so I’ll have to see how that goes…but I think I’ll need it to get it on around the ankle area! They are DEFINITELY tighter, more tapered than the older Ariats in the ankle, lower calf area. (But I see the Challenge II is coming out and it looks way more tapered than the Challenge.)

Hope to get the exchange pair by the end of this week.

Hey there, thanks for the info. I have tried everything up here and nothign seems to fit unless I go semi custom and everything is 8-12 weeks for delivery, so I am going to attempt to order these babies from the states and hopefully they will fit. I am a 15 3/4 calf in measurement so hopefully I will get into these guys ! YAY

Anyone else have pics of them in these?
I was going for the semi-custom Der Daus but they are backordered for eternity so I think I’m going to give these a try.

I’ll try to get one this weekend.

The right boots came in (size 11, reg calf, reg height) and at first I was a little nervous. They are tall-ish (19.7) and the spanish top kinda sagged and bunched when I was on the ground. But in the saddle, everything sinks to exactly where it is supposed to be and they are beautiful.

I even got a gasp and a “where did you get those beautiful boots? The fit is just amazing!” out of my trainer last night when I wore them in my lesson.
