If they don’t go to Rebecca then they don’t get the grant. They can be listed as travel grant recipients but you only receive the check when you are physically there in person. So if she was listed and didn’t go, they didn’t give her the grant. Had she gone, she would have received it.
Will we get to be Exhibit A? Think anyone has ever been subpoenaed on account of COTH?

Maybe I don’t understand how these things work but I would love to see anyone in the eventing industry try to prove $1 million in losses due to bad publicity in 18 months.
If someone had been so kind as to have driven me out of the industry when I was a pro (though clearly not what happened here, seems that this person still has a thriving business), I probably would have owed them money.

Any chance some of the big $$$ eventing PTB are funding this lawsuit as a way to curry favor with Trump? A lot of them are hard core conservatives and Trump et al are going after stormy hard now and using the power of the state to try to silence her. I certainly wouldn’t want usef grant money being funneled to EDH so she can harass a fellow eventer

I had to laugh about so called Stormy Daniels (I assume you know this is a “professional” name), being a good rider. Who knows but riding some kind of animals does seem to be her specialty. Using the power of the state? Oh my God, is this thread a scene from a soap opera “As the Drama Turns”? She is a professional porn star! i have read this entire thread and although I would add my thoughts my suggestion to the FORUM MONITORS is that they immediately lock this forum. Otherwise I suspect the FORUM will be flooded.
I saw that the ChronofHorse Forum was specifically mentioned by a UK source which means all kinda foljs will want to jump on with their two cents worth.
i admire Ms Daniels/ Clifford/Crain for speaking out.
It is very easy to hide and snip or comment, much more difficult to stand up for what you believe in. And then be pillioried for it. And then be used for others purposes.
As working mother, employed, and over the age of…ahem…I know personally how hard it is to keep horses, keep riding, keep competing and keep your children on track, keep you house and home and try to stay sane. Lots of spinning plates.
Stormy - remember, the horses keep you sane and they will always love you - even if you forgot to bring a carrot for them today. Keep riding, you are good at it - you earned it through hard work.

She is an equestrian and she is a decent rider. Being a porn star is a legal profession so if that is how she makes her money and can afford horses that is up to her. Is it now required that everybody must be an aspiring role model to others? Did she say she wants to be a role model?

Seriously, what does this catty commentary have to do with what happened to her horses? I don’t know her or have any personal investment in this situation, but I’ve not seen anywhere that she claimed to be a rider of any particular skill level, or a role model, or sought to be a role model. Nor are those threshold requirements for expecting a professional to provide proper care for your horses. Her profession, no matter what anyone may think of it, is not illegal. The only thing that is or should be at issue in this dispute is whether what she has said about what happened to her horses in EDH’s care and what she observed is accurate.
The lawsuit is an interesting choice by EDH - why would you want to call attention the fact that horses in your care did actually die, just to fight about the “why” of it?? Regardless of whether there are legal consequences, it is not exactly a feel-good story under any version of events. And why now, when it seemed like this discussion had basically died down??

Stormy isn’t the only one from her industry involved in equestrian sports. She might be more public but there are others.
I don’t know why people see working in the porn/adult entertainment industry as somehow worse than working in, say, banking or hedge funds or as a lobbyist for the tobacco or oil industries. Stormy is self-made, self-directed and using the proceeds to fund her equestrian interests. I can’t see anything bad about that.

I believe people have been subpoenaed from COTH, during the Autumn Hills stuff.
I also know of one COTH-er who I am sure would gladly tell her story of what EDH did to her horse and how Stormy was instrumental in getting him back.

Texas is full of rabid conservatives with money. I don’t see why a lawsuit would necessarily be funded by eventing PTBs.

Congratulations for having the most irrelevant and inappropriate comment on the thread. I don’t think what she does for a living has any bearing on her horsemanship and definitely doesn’t mean that her horse deserved to die. Your post sickens me.
Edited to add that I reported your post so no need to wonder who it was. Hopefully I am not the only one who thinks it’s unacceptable that the terms of service for participation in this forum is voided if you have a job that they don’t approve of. We all deserve protection from abuse here.

There is no point in disparaging how Stormy earns her living - that was thoroughly hashed out at the beginning of this thread, months ago. It’s not news, everyone knows, no one cares. What matters are the horses.
