My horrible experiences with Texas horse trainer/instructor Ellen Doughty-Hume

I imagine that most if not all of the horsewomen and maybe even horsemen who went to a strip club to show support for Stormy are not regular strip club attendees and may in fact be making their first ever visit. It is safe to say they didn’t see something there that corrupted their minds to the point that they are now a threat to someone’s children. I absolutely would attend if she were in my area, she is a hero in my opinion.

Sexual crime and abuse is about power, not sex.

Someone exploring their sexual interests in a controlled environment with consensual, compensated adults has absolutely nothing to do with being a manipulative abuser. In fact, I would argue the first displays more mental health than trying to convince yourself sexuality can be ignored or repressed.

For those that missed it… please don’t continue to discuss that which will get this topic shut down.

Does what a trainer do outside of equestrian work have zero relationship to his/her work?" as related to another COTHer saying others went to a strip club in support of a stripper.

Taking this at face value: Finding out a trainer or a school teacher had gone to a strip club to support a stripper in a political/legal drama wouldn’t bother me at all. Come to think of it, finding out a trainer or a school teacher had gone to a strip club to look at naked women or men dancing wouldn’t bother me at all either.

What would bother me, in someone to whom I entrusted my child or an animal?

Untreated or unrecognized alcoholism or other debilitating substance abuse.
Animal abuse and cruelty, including killing horses for the insurance payout, killing a horse by misusing calming supplements, competing lame horses, soring the legs of jumpers, riding with bits that make the horse’s mouth bleed, withholding food or water or a host of other abuses.
A history of criminal behavior.
A history of perpetuating fraud or misrepresentation.
Pedophilia.
Verbal abuse of students.
Reckless disregard for children’s or animal’s safety.
Unprofessional behavior or a poor standard of care.
Proselytizing or otherwise not respecting the child’s or parent’s own spiritual beliefs.

Going to a strip club wouldn’t even make the cut for the long list.

Could the Safe Sport commentary go to the threads on that topic?

Especially as the Moderator specifically made that a condition of this thread? And it has been repeated by another poster as well?

Moderator, I hope you will restrict any accountability solely to those ignoring you. The rest of us can’t control them. Thanks for all you do to keep this a vital forum.

OP is on The View today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYgAI3jjY30 Interview starts at 15:30

I’m sorry, OverandOwnward, is that directed at me?

I believe I’m discussing the OP, whether her day job affects or influences her horse life, or whether her credibility should be questioned because of her day job. I’m also discussing the idea that her supporters should be considered suspect just because they went to strip club to see her and offer support.

So I thought I was very much on topic, and not on the tangents of either politics or “general Safe Sport-related discussions that don’t directly relate to the subject of this thread.” per the moderator’s direction.

If I am mistaken, of course the moderators should move or delete my posts.

The original topic, as seen in the subject title and in the OP, is in regards to EDH and the treatment that the OP’s horses received while in EDH’s care. Things got horribly off track recently.

Has anyone heard any recent information on the lawsuit that EDH filed?

If you don’t consider threads conversations that flow from point to point, sure you could say it’s off track.

But really, SD was attacked as someone that really shouldn’t be upset at how EDH treated her horses because she isn’t the right type of upstanding citizen. All that discussion, including items around SafeSport in relation to strip clubs IS on topic - when people are making perhaps not so subtle intimidating comments about how supporting SD by going to strip clubs could land you in trouble with SafeSport, I kind of think it’s on topic.

If the moderators, disagree, then fine.

“The View Today September 12…” This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s Copyright Policy.

See the thing is, people who think it is their place and right to ignore the Moderator can end up affecting the rest of us who are reading the thread for the other content. So it makes no difference what I think, it’s what the Moderator asked that matters. Makes sense?

The Safe Sport discussion seems to be on the same track as it was before the Mod’s post … but anyway, what I think matters not, I’m out.

Let the chips keep falling where they may …

Just search YouTube for " Stormy Daniels The View" and you will get the official page and can watch what aired

Hmm…I was hoping for something about this. However, her attorney is ready to depose Trump. Yeah, good luck Ellen. I doubt her attorney stacks up anywhere close to this guy.

As for Stormy’s job…who cares? As long as she’s not involving minors in this aspect of her life which there is no evidence to suggest she is, I don’t see the problem. She’s a porn star. And? I don’t care if she’s a porn star or a pastor as long as she doesn’t endanger anybody.

Unless the theoretical trainer is bringing minors to a strip club, the trainer’s attendance shouldn’t be an issue for regulators. Parents, of course, may have other thoughts.

I too would trust Stormy over Jimmy Williams, or any number of other trainers.

And Michelle Obama was slammed for wearing a sleeveless dress. Your point?

Clearly this needs to be repeated since some people must have missed it the three times it has been posted already.

Interesting. They still haven’t managed to serve the OP and one other defendant.
