Has anyone been following this? I am not an attorney. Am I correct in my interpretation that Ellen lost the portion of the complaint directed against Erin Walker and is preparing to appeal?
Preparing to appeal the judgment that she (Ellen) pay attorney’s and mandatory fees.

Wow. That was one hell of a read. It’s absolutely insane that someone can cause so many incidents at public events and is allowed to continue to do so. Allowing a horse to just lay there suffering and dying after a training accident? Inexcusable. Leaving the horse with strangles in a stall in that condition? I get that maybe the working students or someone should have been looking after the barn at the time, but ultimately the barn manager is in charge. Now she is suing? For what?
I’m with @Ubu&Goober I’d love to know if someone can interpret what’s going on with the case. Has she lost the complaint against Erin at this point? If so, will the rest of the case continue or is it just done?

I’m not sure who Erin is. There’s mention of her posting on fb back around comment #289 or so. Is she the xyz person that posted the pictures of the horse with the strangles and the dead rotting horse?
Erin Walker is a former student of Ellen’s. She has been pretty circumspect about Ellen so I wondered what she had done to attract Ellen’s attention and get targeted in the lawsuit. Based on this thread, there are many “less than happy with Ellen” former students out there but I’m also guessing that most of them have not been sued by her. Or the other question is what does Ellen think she has to gain by taking her to court (money?)? Same questions about Kelsy SIlvey - I’ve only seen that name on the court filing. As near as I can tell, neither one of them has publicly called her out as Stormy did. I’m not much of a FB user, so could be there are some answers there that I have missed out on.
Edit: Unless Erin (or Kelsy) is the XYZ poster as @Jenerationx asked. That is a pretty public calling out…
