I came across a working student position with Ellen on a Facebook group page. It was posted last week. This is why it’s so important to Google names, the name of the facility, and ask if you can contact past individuals who participated in their “working student” program to hear their experiences. I’d hate to be the person who dedicated 12 months of my time with no financial benefit to someone with a damaged reputation and then walk away feeling like I couldn’t put the experience on my resume.
Also why it’s so important to keep bumping this thread up so it will come up early in a search on the names Ellen Doughty Hume, Pegasus Eventing, and Rockwall Hills Equestrian Center.
Exactly! My old trainer made me feel that exact way. Ended up in a child labor situation and I upped and left. Best decision ever
Why would we think it was interesting? All it does is link back to this thread that we have already read.
@abequine if you read this entire thread you’ll see those links and related information and discussion on both. I know it is a long one, but it is very interesting.
Well, it DOES bump the thread…
The poster is trying to up the blog hits
Then write something with some info in it, don’t whore off someone else’s thread. Too much work?
Actually doing research? Putting things in to ones own words? Double checking for spelling and grammar? Definitely too much work.
I lost interest in the second sentence when I came across “rath” instead of wrath.
I have a feeling this is why she/he is starting a bunch of threads - to have others put together material for her.
Rath got me too, Mango.
I think abequine is probably a high school age kid. In the thread she started to get feedback on her blog, she did seem to take suggestions to heart, and I got a sense that she really does want to have good blog. I honestly don’t think she knows using this thread as the basis of a post crosses the line of inappropriate hijacking of material. abequine, if you’re reading, it’s really not cool to just regurgiatate she said/she said type stuff unless you have had personal interactions with one of the directly involved parties.
Has Stormy always been her own representative in the lawsuit Ellen filed against her or was she originally represented by the attorney that left earlier this month (R.B. Pool)?
For a horse person, this is becoming more involving than the Michael Cohen hearing … talk about epic threads.
Sort of an epic situation, especially for CoTH.
Edit: This thread involves horses and people, but the people involved are active in a much wider world sphere.
Heels Down blog on Insta poses the tease to answer why she doesn’t show under her real name. Let’s just all think on that for a while. Gee, I wonder…
I really hope no one EVER says to me, “Oh, you’re an Equestrian? Do you know Stormy Daniels?” Lol
Hrmmm… I would have no problem with that. She seems to do her best to take care of her horses, so why should I care? I’d rather be associated with her than with many of the current D.C. crowd…
I really hope no one EVER says to me, “Oh, you’re an Equestrian? Do you know Stormy Daniels?” Lol
I kind of hope someone does. To which I will say, “Yes, I do! Lovely lady, nice horses, heck of a rider. Why do you ask?”
And if they make insinuations about her line of work, I’ll shrug and say “Yes, there are also lawyers and politicians that are equestrians. If they’re decent horsepeople, I try not to hold it against them.”
Um… so I’ve had that happen. “Ooh did you know Stormy is a rider too”. Yes I did and she is a bad ass, like all of us riders are I don’t give a flying fluff what you do for work if it is legal work. Just because I wouldn’t do it personally doesn’t make someone else a bad person, goodness gracious. I wouldn’t show under my real name if I were a celebrity either… she is not the only famous person to have an alias so people don’t bombard them at shows.
