I do not know a lot bout this topic but i saw this thread while scrolling and remembered that this was the rider who I thought her horse (Obe I think?) looked awful skinny at Land Rover Kentucky this year. at least from the photos I saw on IG. (hip joint kinda poking out and stomach tucked up like he was just pulled off the track. After reading the OP and a few other comments I’m not surprised to see this is the same rider. I wasn’t able to watch the event so I don’t know if he was lame but he looked way to skinny in my opinion.
Has the lawsuit really been as static as it looks from the case record? Nothing from late April until last week when a change of address was filed by Ellen’s attorney.
EDH looking for a new assistant per Facebook post today
Ellen Doughty-Hume. I’m spelling out her name in case some poor unsuspecting soul is looking her up, all excited about a potential working student position. I hope they read this entire novella.
samesies…I wish MLE wouldnt let her advertise in their FB group
I’m so sad that Stormy deleted her OP. I"m sure it was for legal reasons.
I hope that everything ultimately goes well for Stormy and her horses.
I am not a lawyer, so I won’t pretend to know what exactly this says. But from my understanding, this is an appellate court reversing a lower courts decision to dismiss the suit and award $30k in attorney’s fees. It looks like EDH sues 3 individuals including Stormy (and all 3 are mentioned) but this maybe only related to one? It also says USEA stripped Ellen of her certification. I haven’t verified that yet.
This is from January 7th
https://www.courtlistener.com/opinio…alistair-hume/
“Thereafter, Walker and another of Doughty-Hume’s clients each made an additional complaint to the USEA regarding Doughty-Hume. In connection with the investigation of these complaints, Walker provided a statement to the USEA. Following its investigation, the USEA revoked Doughty-Hume’s certification based on its determination that “a greater than preponderance of pertinent and credible evidence support[ed] the complaints.”
edit: she still shows listed as an ICP instructor on USEA’s website.
In reading through that document, I was curious if this part would be something that Safe Sport would look into:
“For example, as noted above, appellees’ first amended petition accused Walker and the other defendants of making false statements about appellees “and their alleged treatment of working students, some of whom were minors.” In addition, appellees’ second amended petition alleged that Walker made false allegations to the USEA on January 14 and 15, 2018, that Doughty-Hume purchased alcohol for minors and “skinny dip[ped]” with working students.”
Not an attorney either, but it looks like Erin Walker lost her appeal on a technicality and literally the bottom line in the decision is that she has to pay legal fees for Ellen, her husband and Pegasus Eventing. Also looks like maybe one of the judges dissented.:no::no:
I skimmed through the document, not so closely that I have a real opinion as to what the outcome was, exactly. That would take a few hours. It was dense, to say the least. I didn’t read it that Walker now has to pay EDH’s legal fees, just that EDH no long has to pay Walker’s legal fees. But could have missed on that one.
- I am thoroughly confused as to whose side Erin Walker is on. Initially she seemed to be a former EDH student/boarder who has complaints similar to Stormy’s. Especially, serious concerns about horse welfare and appropriate training. But I completely lost the thread of the document with the references to earlier legal action by Walker that was intended to be served against everyone, EDH, Stormy and Crain ( isn’t that Stormy’s ex-husband?)
(I’m making a wild guess that maybe Stormy wasn’t served because of her travels for work and other things, so perhaps they didn’t know where she was, or else didn’t want to pay to serve at long distance.)

Back when, Stormy Supporters following this saga were raging around social media saying that “the USEA should do something!” about EDH’s alleged abuses of horses and students. Looks like the USEA did do something in 2018. Investigated, identified problems, and at first tried to work it out with EDH. But somehow got enough additional info to jerk her ICP certification. Clearly more drama has happened since then, just we don’t seem to have the details (or I don’t).

I didn’t notice in this thread that people knew EDH’s certification was revoked in 2018. Did people know? What’s the good of pulling a certification if no one knows it happened?
-
As best I can tell, Stormy’s complaints are entirely about horse welfare, and Stormy seems to have little to gain from pressing these issues. Don’t know Stormy, have seen her ride but never met her, but just from what has hit the public eye, her only interest in this seems to be the harm her own horses suffered and concern over what could happen in the future.

Unlike many all-out internet mud-slinging battles, this one has tons of hard documentation and it’s all on one side. The vet reports, contemporaneous records, and so on. EDH doesn’t seem to have much more than finger-pointing on her side.
-
Detecting an EDH pattern. People try to work with her and make the most of whatever she has to offer, while mitigating some negative tendencies. Then they give up on her, in outrage. And sometimes come back at her legally. The list keeps getting longer. Prior stables where she ran her business. Disgruntled students, boarders, working students, employees. Venues where EDH shows and schools that have been close to throwing her out. Outraged former clients who are suing her. The USEA first investigating and then taking her certification. On and on. And it isn’t over small matters, there are now multiple lawsuits at work, and her entire career is under attack.

Between giving alcohol and skinny dipping with working students and minors, there don’t seem to be too many errors of judgment left for EDH to add to the record … although as time goes on I’m sure we will hear of new ones.
And my own personal end summary - As convoluted as is this hot mess, as inconsistent and wandering the path that it is taking … since the beginning, overall it has been headed in one direction. And it’s not good news for EDH.
There’s an old wisdom that when a lot of people seem to be ganging up on just one, look at all of their relationships from the macro view. When all but one are getting along ok except for their conflict with the one, but the one is in conflict with many others - it is easier to see where the real problem lies.

I had no idea her ICP was revoked, and I believe someone above mentioned she is still listed on the PC website as being certified. That should have been flamed all over the internet, social media, etc.
There’s a bit of new news, "Court orders Trump to pay Stormy Daniels $44,100 to cover her legal fees
The dispute involved hush-money payments Daniels received from the Trump Organization over an alleged affair."
From WaPo.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio…ge%2Fstory-ans
"A California court ordered President Trump to pay Stephanie Clifford, the adult-film actress known as Stormy Daniels, $44,100 to cover her legal fees stemming from a dispute over a nondisclosure agreement.
The Superior Court of California in Los Angeles ruled that Clifford was the prevailing party in the dispute and therefore won the right to have her legal fees paid by Trump, according to a copy of the ruling, dated Aug. 17, posted by the court and by Clifford’s lawyer.
“Yup. Another win!” the Stormy Daniels Twitter account tweeted on Friday. White House officials and lawyers for Trump didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment."
GOOD FOR HER!
Now there’s the issue of actually getting the money out of the greedy grip of the meanist man this side of the Atlantic. (My opinion. Del with it.)
Um I don’t think the two Stormies are one and the same??
Which two? The Stormy of this thread and the one who was paid off by The Toxic Yam are one and the same.
Why do you say that? The link goes right to the article with her photo.
Oh no way  I had no idea. However the link has really nothing to do with the thread.
Do you think I know what she looks like? I don’t nor do I care to, it was just such a departure from the thread that I thought it was, well, mistaken identity. Now I know. Moving on.
