Thank you. I was getting sensitive about my bad manicure, scared up fingers and man hands that tend to happen when you work with horses long enough.
I can see where that is a tough call. Horse/pony is trotted for trainer to determine if a vet needs to be called since the owner is a non-horse person adult owner of a their child’s pony. Or owner is a novice/beginner adult. In either case unless the horse is 5/5 or maybe 4/5 lame the owner would not recognize the horse is lame and needs to see a vet. They need another educated horse person’s opinion on whether a vet needs to be called.
Looks like EDH has gotten married and updated her name on social media to Ellen Sebanc, just posting for people who may find this thread or be new that they are the same person.
Just bumping this thread because the information on Ellen Doughty -Whoever should be kept readily available.
Ellen Doughty
Ellen Doughty-Hume
Ellen Sebanc
Is Ellen dropping the other last names, so no hyphen or Doughty in other form? Just Ellen Sebanc? I’ve seen it that way elsewhere as well, just checking.
I have no idea. I was just listing the names I know of her as to respond to Salty’s “Ellen Doughty Whoever” comment.
Worker and trainer change yet again, only there around 2.5 months. How does that place stay open with the constant turn around.
Yikes. I guess I better go weed out the corners of my arena by this logic.
Stormy will be on RMS on MSNBC tomorrow night at 9
For those who may be concerned, in searching the Kaufman County docket this morning, it shows that this matter is now scheduled for Trial starting Monday, August 4th.
To date, this has been one of the longest threads on CoTH, and whether you love or hate Stormy, she did what she thought was best, and that was standing up for the horses in Ellen Doughty-Hume’s (now Ellen Sebanc) care. Stormy’s personal experiences with Ellen were not the first, nor have they been the last, and while this is at Trial, the focus should be on what Ellen has continued to do to the horses in her care.
While I am not personally involved in this by any means, I know Stormy created this post because at her very core, she has a huge heart and horses will always have special meaning her. I think it’s only right that if you truly care about horse welfare and what Ellen has done (and subsequently gotten away with) over the years, your support at Trial would be incredibly meaningful.
Good luck, Team Stormy!
Completely agree!
Does anyone have details on the trial location and time so we could go support Stormy?
I would hope her appearance is virtual.
Haha.
Absolutely!
Good luck, Team Stormy, and good luck to help all the horses in this woman’s ‘care’.
Does anybody know how the trail is going?
I wish Stormy luck in her trial. She exposed and held Ellen to some accountability for her horrendous treatment of horses in her care. She and others in this thread provided a warning and that, hopefully, has saved someone trouble and suffering.
