My fiancé and I are strongly considering relocating to his home in Nashville after the summer, and I’d like to gather some insights from the community:
-
Facility Recommendations
I am looking for a facility that offers private pasture board (a large “medical-type paddock” would also work), along with access to an arena with jumps. A covered arena would be a significant advantage, and it’s essential that the facility allows outside trainers, as I ride with a couple of individuals. The pasture should include a shed or run-in shelter. I am open to different levels of care, but the minimum requirements should include feedings and cleaning of the paddock if it’s a dirt lot. I can handle all other care needs. -
Employment Opportunities- please let me know if my skillset would be of benefit to anyone in the area.
I am a hunter/jumper professional with 15 years of experience, and I’m looking to transition into a more low-key role. I’m open to a variety of positions, such as barn manager, part-time home assistant, or general part-time help. I am confident in my ability to adapt to the role and perform at a high level.
I’m available for full-time work in any position but would need some flexibility as I am pursuing a USEF license. I will make every effort to ensure that my schedule aligns with the needs of the role, and I’ll always prioritize the horses’ care. I have extensive experience managing A-circuit barns with up to 40 horses.
While I prefer not to travel to shows for work anymore, I’m happy to attend occasionally to compete on my horse for fun when my schedule allows. If there is a need for assistance at shows, I am also capable of providing support coaching, prepping, or caring for the horses. I wouldn’t call myself a professional groom, I would leave that to the experts! But can support head grooms.
Any guidance, recommendations, or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
