I can’t tell if you really don’t get it,

I get it. Long ago, in another galaxy, women who lived with a man without the benefit of marriage faced similar concerns about being “accepted” in social situations. I am that old. See my later posts on this thread after some kind folks offered perspective.

We both probably remember the days when the horse world was white women. If a guy showed up - very rare - I think everyone just assumed he must be gay (that wasn’t the terminology). Why else would he there with a horse, and ignoring the women?
