It’s a horse at Delaware Park on the Mid-Atlantic site, not the NE site. The address I used was from that site - beth@canterusa.org I just sent another to that address and also two others from that region’s site.
SUFFOLK SHOWCASE Sunday 10/25
Don’t miss your chance to see the cuties shown in one spot.
Starting at 9 am and running til noon, prospective buyers will be able to see the available CANTER trainer-listed horses in their stalls, jogged out, and have the opportunity to talk to trainers and/or owners. CANTER volunteers will be on hand for assistance.

More details about the showcase event from CANTER: Suffolk Showcase Flyer
Go! Don’t forget to bring cash & your trailer!
This is a good opportunity to see several horses that you are interested in at the same time. By all means, go! Even the best of pictures doesn’t do most horses justice.
“This file is damaged”
That’s what I get when I try to download the flyer - is there something wrong with it, or is it my crappy old version of Acrobat?
Never mind, I downloaded Reader and it opened just fine. Let’s see, it’s Powerball night, time to fill my imaginary barn…
While I’m enabling everybody, it’s probably only right to throw in some disclaimers.
Here they are in fine print:
Yes, buying a horse right off the track can be a gamble. If you can’t risk unsoundness, arrange for a PPE before purchase. You very likely will not get original papers picking up a horse off the track for cheap. In most cases you won’t need them anyway, but should lack of papers be a deal breaker for you, speak up about it before making the transaction. OTTBs are fantastic, but it’s true they’re not for everybody. A certain amount of experience and resources are a must. Here’s a great primer for what to expect: Before you buy a thoroughbred off the track you should know…
O Kay! That said, get ready to feast your eyes! There are some real beauties to be had.
In anticipation of the CANTER Showcase, I put together an article on buying a horse from the track with Dr. Brett Gaby of Essex Equine on the topic. In the article, he gives tips about what you should look for when evaluating horses. Dr. Gaby is a vet who specializes in lameness and who does many, many PPEs. He is my own vet and takes care of my CANTER cutie, Freedom, who is now hunting with Old North Bridge Hounds and loving it! I get lots of compliments on him. Freedom was donated to CANTER New England by his very kind owners after he finished racing.[URL=“http://tinyurl.com/yfkgvjz”]

Even more are listed now! Check out the updated listings
Is anyone planning on attending the showcase?
Did Jazknap find a home? If not, can someone send me contact info?
ABS- I hope you go our email in return but we are checking in with this trainer tomorrow. So far that is the only number we have for him and the horsemans office has the same number. I will make sure to let you know something as soon as I do. He is one of the nicest trainer’s there and absolutely loves his horses so I am hoping it will work out. If you ever want to come up and walk around with us just send me a PM and I would be happy to accomodate.

Hi -
Diamond Silk - She seems like a very nice mare - nice head and a nice mover! Call Diane 603.553.0074
Areyouflirtingwithme - she is nice also - great mover… seems a little nervous at the track but should settle once off. She is very big and pretty!
Notphormetosay - she seems like she is a little nervous at the track too - not uncommom for mares but they seem to settle once off :). Nice mare too!
CBT is a nice mare too - she seems to handle track life just fine. She has that compact look which I like .
We are at the track right now and as of today all are still available. Any chance you can come to the Showcase tomorrow??
PM sent :).

LOL, I’m with FLTAP, in NY State. So, I don’t know anything about the Suffolk horses, except what I see in the pictures.
I do know that they are a great bunch of people, and I certainly hope that their Showcase tomorrow is a great success. Let’s see lots of lovely horses go to new, loving homes.
Anyone know how it went today? The rain was the pits. Did Frenchmistress sell? I’d just love her!
