New farm, let's build some stuff

And now the lock/cotter pins are giving me the jeebies on those. We all have our “thing” that makes us twitch, haha.

All sorts of ways to lock a pin, though! Can even make one that locks with a large snap. Or a zip tie. Or whatever. Hell, you could probably even use a large, locking climbing carbineer as a drop pin to lock the pipe in place.

If you’ll be moving removable gate panels around, look into acquiring a panel dolly (aka door dolly) to help you wheel them into place. Levers and wheels and axles are your friends.

Eh they aren’t really heavy, honestly. It just takes more time than I want. Neat idea if I were doing lots, tho!

Test fit with heavywall pipe. I need to grab a pipe wrench and thread the coupling tighter so it doesn’t sag, but i think we have a winner. Just need to figure out a storage spot for it near the permanent wall.

All tucked in! The Grumpy Old Men were super happy to be reunited at last.

Sometimes haha. Other days I want a day off!

New guy sat on the bar to get some sleep. Good news is that it 1) held, 2) caused no injuries, and 3) was easy to bend back.

He has yet to lie down, poor fella.
