Weighing and naming complete.
Lewis and Chloe are the light weights, so we’ll watch them. Five boys and three girls. We have to double check who has extra toes, but at least Zoe and the orange boys, Han and Luke. Also Leia, Miggy, and Caleb.

Awww!! They’re precious
These are Polly and Louisa’s babies, right? They are very cute and look well fed and cared for.
I love the hair on the top of kittens’ heads - all sticky-uppy like Calvin’s hair from Calvin and Hobbes.
Yes, these are the litters born 5/3 and 5/6.

She doesn’t realize yet that this is the best day of her life.
I just want to sit myself down and snuggle them all!!! So cute.
Our son does that several times per day. We’ve both petted Victoria a little and touched her kittens briefly.
All those cats are going to get tamed up.
I haven’t seen the last feral orange barn cat today. No food missing from his bowl. Woke up to a bad cat noise and the hooting of a barred owl afterwards at about 3:00 am. We will definitely try to lock up these three mama cats every night once they are spayed and turned loose again as barn kitties.
Morning cuteness after a bedding change. Both moms take turns eating and drinking. Polly had loose stools yesterday so I mixed the kitten food with the regular a little. It seems to have helped.
That’s a big pile of kittens!
Do the kittens just nurse from their moms or do they nurse off both momma cats?
Whoever is nearest. One mama had three and one had five, so it averages out between them.
You say WHAT?!!!
IIRC my vet is about $85 for a neuter, and $120 for a spay. We also have a low-cost program through our local HS, which I think is $60 for a spay/neuter.
I’m just . . . give me a minute to pick my jaw up off the floor.
When I was little, we had barn cat mamas that did this! They would have litters at about the same time, and nurse them together. You never knew which kittens had originally belonged to which mama.
It’s a huge pile of kittens, but it’s a CUTE pile of kittens!
This, of course, was before spaying was a thing around here . . .
Based on kitten birthdates, we’re going to schedule a Saturday adoption event for 7/9. By then, even Victoria’s kittens will be 8 weeks. One week after the 4th, which is a very stressful time for pets in new homes anyway. I think a big event would be a great way to rehome this many kittens. We’ll see if we can get a store to allow us to bring the kittens in and advertise.
Now THAT is a great idea. Fingers crossed for you!
It takes a (kitty) village
