That is Leopold. He is bold and friendly. He’s won over the big dog. Working on our house cats.
Meanwhile, the barn ladies are out today. Not sure they’ll come back before bed tonight, but they have cat safe boxes outside.

Only if you’re very, very lucky.
ETA: We expect videos.
Louisa and Polly checked in this morning. They let me pet them and followed me around. I don’t think taking them back in for stitches removal will be an issue. I didn’t see Victoria, but I propped the workshop door open so she could get some breakfast.
Polly is showing off her fancy surgery wound there. So proud to be spayed!
They are so cute! I love Polly’s big feet. I hope Victoria is around and you’ll see her soon.
Looks like Cat Heaven to me.
“You’ve heard of a litter of kittens and maybe also a kindle of kittens. A lesser-known term for a group of kittens is an intrigue. This term likely became associated with kittens when the word entanglement was an accepted synonym for intrigue, since a rambunctious group of kittens definitely involves the entanglement of many tiny, fuzzy bodies.”
–from today’s page on my page-a-day calendar that a friend gave me for Christmas. I wish it had been the quote for a couple of weeks ago, but I want to share it here anyway because of our COTH kindles and their wonderful saviours.
That is perfect!
It took me a minute to figure out which body went with what head in that photo. Laugh.
Look at those EARS!!!
They look so big. How old are they now?
How do you get them to stay still for pictures! very cute.
They are adorable!
How are the mama cats? Has Victoria returned to her feral state? I hope she’s a little more tame.
They’re 10 and 11 weeks, but small for their age. The mama cats are really small, too.
Victoria comes by in the mornings and meows but won’t approach us. We started feeding the barn cats on the workshop porch so she can come get food during the day. Polly and Louisa are still very friendly, but not Victoria. Ralph is his cheerful self. Usually, Polly, Louisa, and Ralph come in at night to the workshop. In fact, Louisa won’t leave the workshop in the morning, if it’s raining.
And once having been shown the good life are loath to leave it…well, except for Victoria but maybe she will reconsider. Especially during winter…
Miggy looks like a bit of a scamp. The other two have more solemn little faces, They are very cute.
Such a little princess!
Must be pictures make them appear bigger. They look good and healthy.
Victoria’s back! Sweet girl came purr-meowing this morning with the others. She enjoyed the porch food and played with the others. They seemed to let her back into their family group. Oddly, I really think that’s what it is now. Ralph, as the eldest, seems to be the overall leader, but he defers to the ladies. Victoria approached each female cat and then Ralph, who mildly scolded her. Then, she jumped around and played with everyone. She came pretty close, but wasn’t ready for petting. I think she will allow it in the future. She had to forgive us for the big surgery scare.
