New filing on ecourts re MB

It is so incredibly helpful to have real attorneys and legal professionals like @ekat and others to decipher all the filings. Since I have no legal degree in any way, shape or form, I rely on the expertise of these amazing posters. Thank you so much for sharing your bona-fide professional knowledge

Alright, fess up, who made the GFM donation from Rosie the Dog - weā€™ve all been so good about ignoring our resident sea lions

I am REALLY grateful to all the folks participating on this thread who are taking time to post documents, explain the legal process and arguments involved, and explain the timeline.

These threads have been a really valuable educational process on certain realities of civil litigation. Itā€™s a long slow expensive grind, no matter how right or how wrong either side is. And everyone involved is at the mercy of the judges. And delay delay delay ā€¦ thatā€™s definitely a common strategy.

Thatā€™s HILARIOUS.

It wasnā€™t me. If I do it, youā€™ll know, cause youā€™ll either be aghast or laughing your way to a heart attack on the floor.

That is a good one. There have been some really good names donating lately.

Could someone tell me if I am undestanding correctly what LKā€™s current hired attack dogs are requesting?
They want to know which particular pieces of information which are currently already in their hands are going to be actually used by MBā€™s attorneys, yes?

Kinda like a student in possession of the textbook and lecture notes wants a list of the questions that will be on the test.

As for Mr. Silverā€™s "work product ", I canā€™t help but wonder what else his team has dug up on LKā€™s history of habitual harrassment. Weā€™ve heard some personal accounts here. Surely the Ks would assume Mr. Silver is well aware of those along with her past criminal charges. How many other bigger badder ghosts were they hoping would stay hidden in the closet?

I think their gambit is to just try to overwhelm the court and the defense counsels with filings - no matter how nonsensical - and otherwise delay, deny, deflect as much as possible to stall forward progress (because most filings trigger responses by the opposing side, and also require a decision by the court so the court needs time to sort through everything).

The end goals:

  1. Avoid exposure of more of LKā€™s bad behavior.
  2. Avoid embarrassment to the Kā€™s and their attorney du jour by losing the case.
  3. Continue to bleed MB dry financially.

From their website:

Ronald J. Morgan is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and New York.

If the specific info is not currently in their hands, they absolutely have access to the best source possible - the plaintiff herself. Probably though, that PI report that presumably encompasses the incidents at issue, is languishing in a box somewhere and they havenā€™t found it yet.

For those who are confused about how procedure works in discovery and how GAS seems to totally ignore the rules of the court in the state he works in, here are a couple of screen shots to explain how all that works.

Ronald being second fiddle on this and being a name on the door makes it even more confusing that they are filing stuff ignoring the basic rules of NJ court. Such a strange way for a whole firm to act. I am sorry that I assumed that because of the sloppiness of the filing that Ronald was an underling.

Maybe Rosie is trying to make amends for her participation in this diabolical plot to ruin a successful human being. I hope she used a Kanarek source of payment!

@ekat - I am not sure I am following this. How does ā€œMB and attorney not having the authority to ignore sealed recordsā€ relate to Stoneā€™s request that they produce a copy of the confidential, sealed records?

Or do you mean that because they are sealed, MB and his attorney donā€™t have the authority to release them to someone else?

Yes, thank you! I will edit that! Sorry!

This article says that Mr. Silver is an
adjunct professor and teaches ā€œThe Law in Television and Filmā€. I want to take this class! I bet it would be interesting.
