Just wanted to note on the thread that they were supposed to have a case management meeting (I think remotely) this morning with the mediator (per court docs it was scheduled for 9 a.m. )
Maybe there will be some movement on the motions hanging out there … especially regarding limiting the deposition … after this mediation conference.

But I doubt Michael’s side is going to bend on the theory that Lauren’s side can ignore all the rules and demand things be done only their way.

Hopefully the judge will step in and rule on the issue then, after they gave mediation a chance.

I have to agree with @trubandloki - my gut says Michael and SGF aren’t going to bend at this point.
My gut also says we won’t see anything until after the 31st, when the judge can issue rulings on the deposition itself and the weird discovery requests at once. I could be wrong though.

This is all an exercise in frivolous motions costing both sides $$$$. Absolutely desperate and ridiculous. So much for Lauren’s insistence on getting her “story” out! I smell Kanarek desperation and frankly, it stinks to high heaven, but was expected.

Well, there was that one time I beat an expert version of some level of some Super Mario game and declared to the kid and all his friends that I was THE expert. But “self professed” legal expert, not so much.

I remember an incident at my local clubs Board of Directors meeting where one noodle head brought in 3 attorneys to challenge me as President, to charge me with malfeasance. No one but me knew what that was. One of the lawyers knew me from court so he stayed silent. The other two went at me. They lost. Bad.
It cost noodle head thousands of dollars and I still laugh about it.
If only I knew something about law!

I literally just had a lady call. I just read the law to her verbatim and she said I was wrong because her lawyer said so. Before she hung up on me I asked her to have her lawyer call me. Happens at least twice a week. Gets tiring!
