For showing?

Why not? You’d better prefer a soft shafted boot because I don’t think those would be very stiff and supporting.
If you’re asking about them from a fashion standpoint, they’re gorgeous.
If you’re wondering whether they’re legal, here’s the thing, jstov96327: You should familiarize yourself with the rule book. It’s available at usef.org. Counting on strangers on the internet to tell you what’s legal can be a huge mistake. ThreeFigs is correct that they’re legal, but don’t trust me, either.
OP - While these boots wouldn’t be my choice for showing, they are fine up through 4th level I think. If I remember correctly FEI levels do specify black boots.
IF you are going to show in them, I’d suggest doing some coordinating colorwise, so that perhaps you have a brown coat or something. Or brown tack.
I have them and love them (and wear them more around town than I do riding because they are just so beautiful and comfy). They are nice and soft and break in within a very short time…too soft for me to ride dressage. I have a pair of the MH Victoria Dress Boots that I normally wear and while they are not stiff compared to most other dress boots, they are stiffer than these and help me keep my heel from lifting. I rode in a lesson in the Serengetis and my trainer started yelling at me to keep my heels down, thus, they have been moved to fashion and hunter seat duty (I can keep my heels down fine with shorter jumping-length stirrups).

Would you mind posting some photos of the boots post-break-in? I’m really curious how they look after some wear. Thanks!!
no
I’ll see what I can find. I know DH has a picture somewhere of me dressed up as Emma Swan from the tv series Once Upon A Time for a costume party.
The rule book doesn’t list a color for boots below FEI, but does stipulate that if half-chaps are worn (1st and below) that they be solid color and leather or leather like material and the same color as the boots. I would check with the TD before showing to be safe.
OP - I saw the Serengeti and loved the look, but then stumbled across these:

Had to have them for jumping…in brown!

This is an interesting point. There is no specification that boots be all leather, but then again it may be presumed.
If you really want them for show, I’d sure send a picture to USEF or some TD or something before spending the money.

This is what came to mind when I first saw them too. I think when the rules were created, two tone boots, or boots with materials other than leather may not have been conceived of :).
I would want to get confirmation before shelling out the cash!
There is NO rule requiring boots be leather. The half-chaps rule is specific to half-chaps. These boots are perfectly legal (at least under the current rules).

Great! I really wish I could get my hands on a pair to check them out, but I think I am going to be stuck ordering blind so I want to see as many non-stock photos as possible! I really wish Smartpak had them, I’m going to be in Boston in Nov so haaaave to make a stop at Smartpak (since they don’t ship to Canada, boooooooooo) which means that there won’t be time for Dover this time around, who does carry them. The struggle is real y’all!
If you want to look a hunter crossover at a dressage show, then they’re fine – no one would say a thing about it. To me, they’re way too casual for dressage competition. They look like fashion boots.

They do look like fashion boots, not riding boots. They are not a trend in hunterland (and heaven willing never will be) so no way she’d be mistaken as a crossover. You don’t even see them in the hunt field where brown originated and can look quite elegant. Not show appropriate, for any discipline IMO.
Oh, and another question for those that have them: The body of the boots seems more like a cordovan in all of the photos I’ve seen on social media. Does that color darken over time?

Because of this thread, I had to have these Sovereign brown boots (they are different than the Serengeti that started this thread). They have arrived, and I have to admit: these are outstanding boots and I can’t believe only $350. Very soft leather, very stylish two-toned brown. Already broken in, or no break in period.
These are my first pair of brown boots and I love them! Thank you COTH for enabling!
So jealous Daisyesq! I was going to get these as I stated, but learned that these boots don’t come in slim I called/emailed a couple places and while they offer the black version in slims, they don’t do the same in brown. Rats!!
I’ve wanted the Sovereign boots in brown since I heard they were coming out. Too bad MH doesn’t make anything in short sizes.
