Great report, albytb. Lovely “donkey”.
Gosh, too bad your cute horse isn’t flashy or a fancy color. ( )
I’m glad you had a good time. It sounds like a great experience and the facility looks beautiful!
Thank you for your report! That gives me a much better idea of what to expect.
As it is clearly organized and planned differently than what most of us know as a ‘horse show,’ it is hard to know what to expect. Your first-person account helps a lot!
Yeah she’s boring So excited for her future… hoping she grows a bit more too lol
My pleasure! I honestly had no clue what to expect myself going into it… it’s definitely different than what we are all used to, but in a good way. I hope more people will give it a try!
There’s been some interest in trying to get a few of these in the Southeast, probably near the North AL/GA/TN ish area, so hopefully we can get that worked out so we can try it around here. It sounds like it’d be something fun and different.
I’m in TN and would love to have one close by.
Is this the USEA’s answer to the UDJC (or to get in on the interest? and $$) Did anyone else see the recent proposal of doing CT leaderboard? They tried this is 2015 and it didn’t seem to go anywhere. I am looking for the link. It was in the USEA Eventing Magazine discussing a proposal for a Combined Test Leaderboard in 2025, sparse details regarding the specific proposal, but the topic of a Combined Test leaderboard is being explored, potentially to increase engagement. I haven’ seen this take off on the eventing board yet so interested in what people think.
Charges were not dropped. It was “dismissed”because he took a plea.
What charge did he plead to?
Class A misdemeanor, “unlawful restraint”
Welcome to the forum @Holiday1.
Can you clarify your posts please. Who are you talking about and what situation are you talking about there being a plea?
You have to follow the quotes back upstream. I think they are talking about Christian Heineking who was banned from USEF shows but has been to some of the UDJC shows. His case was dismissed because he took a plea to a lesser offense which is why he is still banned through Safesport. His name was brought up when UDJC didn’t answer questions about what they would do about banned riders showing up at their shows. He sued a different show organization for not allowing him to show there because of his Safesport ban, he felt that because that show wasn’t under the USEF umbrella he shouldn’t be banned from there.
That could be it.
I did follow the quotes which is why I was a bit confused. The post that their post was in response to was about Barisone and Lauren Kanarek.
Screen shot of the post(s) for reference.
Well then I have no idea. This has been one long thread.
“The German Riding Instructor” (for those that are not on social media- guy with very big following) posted today about this association. I might get flamed, but I thought the video was cute.
This video posted today … it is cute, I agree. It makes its points without bashing any other org by name.
Much better approach, keeping the humor, imo.
You are correct. Not sure why it posted in the wrong thread.
I believe he is collaborating with David now!
Again: I can’t stress enough how you(g) should give these shows a try. Just went to my second one last weekend and signed up for a membership.
I liked the video! I hope the shows come to TN.
“Amy, how many saddle pads do you have?” “All of them.”
