I CAN dismiss things though.
This is on a laptop/all-in-one, running Chrome, same as always.
I’ve sent a link to this thread to the developers, but in the meantime, let me offer the catch-all, things-are-acting-weird potential solution to clear your cookies to see if that helps at all.

Quote is working Edit is working like function still not working. I cleared cookies this morning not sure IF that made the difference or not,but those functions are working now. Numbers to change pages at bottom of page and top of page don’t work,logout still not working. Edited to add this! Like function is now working.
Yes, I’ve been having the same issue, both on phone and computer, so I don’t think it’s as simple as clearing cookies. It’s not that things “aren’t working”, but more that I might reload page and then it will work…maybe. I’m sure it will be resolved eventually but glad it’s not just me breaking everything.
So weird that we are having opposite issues. I was able to like one post this morning. Other than that the function is not working. Not able to quote or edit. At least I can still read some stuff to pass the time

I’ve forwarded links to threads reporting issues to the developers, and I’m now seeing what you are on my phone, using Chrome, so I can help interface with them directly about the problems too.

Someone reported reloading the pages permit them to edit.
Knowing that may help those working on this.
Everything seems to be working this morning. Yesterday it was hit and miss quote worked for a few times then wouldn’t same with edit & likes. On desktop and all is good same on phone all seems to be working. :encouragement:
Ah crap. I thought everything was working, but I can’t quote, flag, or like. I can move between pages, clear out notifications, and mark things as read so there is at least progress!
How have things been working? Are these issues persisting? I know they are working on them, but wanted to check in.

My issues viewing the site from the phone as described above are all resolved (Only the “this page wants to load a plug in” as described on gumtree’s thread remains. Still trying to get a screen gab of that!)

My original issues have resolved - quoting, liking, notifications.
But today there’s a new one which is even worse. Any time there’s a side bar ad which is a video, every time the video starts, it makes the page jump to it. Unbelievably frustrating.
Desk top, Chrome, computer was just rebooted and cache/cookies/etc cleared.
It is pretty bad today. For a few days things were better but they are worse today. I can’t change pages, I could not edit as of yesterday, scrolling down the pages is all jumpy and slow, I can’t like anything either.
I am on an ipad but it is not so good with the laptop either.
@cayuse I wonder if your jumpiness and slowness is related to the video ads - can you tell if there’s one running when you have that issue?
I just tried 3 times to write a new post in Off Course. None got put up, and it is a livestream notice for Today, so timely!

JB, I am not seeing any video ads anywhere. On the bright side I left CoTH for about a half hour and returned and now I can change pages.
And it seems the edit function is working!
I have not had any such problems until this morning, first time.
I am on an older MacBookPro and Safari and while trying to write a post the whole page kept shaking and jumping up and away.
I had to chase the posting window up there and get it down to finish, then again did that same, a few times.
Posted fine, but editing again was jerky, but posted fine.
It is the first time I had one of those google ad inserts with a video in it, someone playing a violin, so it may be related to those videos, if that may help the ones working on the problem.
As others mentioned, those ads may be what is causing this, why I didn’t have those problems before, but do now.
Or the video at that time may be a coincidence?
At least the programmers could try to sort that out better following that “coincidence”.
P.S. No problem posting or editing this, but the video ad is not there now.
Editing again to say, the moving ad is back on, someone swimming around and again the whole page scrolling thru the threads and now trying to post is unstable, jerky and shaky.
I would definitely say the moving ad may be a possible cause.
Bluey, what version of MacOS you running?
The version I have (10.12.6) Safari doesn’t run Flash automatically. It blocks them unless I specifically click on the Flash video.
The day when Flash is gone can’t happen soon enough…
Maybe for me on this site, I’m not getting any of the Flash ads… I know on other websites I visit, if there are Flash videos it does cause the page to re-load when the video has been dowloaded.
