New Rambo and Rhino Blankets

I think most of mine (I have 9 total) aren’t made in Ireland. They range from so old I can’t remember to present. All except for 1 (the one from Jeffers) were purchased from/while I was in Europe.

Has anyone had luck reselling new Rambo blankets for a decent price? I usually sell for cheap just to get things out of my house so people have gotten good deals from me  but if the blanket is brand new, how much do you take off of the new price?

I love Adams! They have great deals and service.

I got a clearance Rhino from Adams a couple years ago that ended up being too big for my horse. Never used, just tried on once.

I sold it locally via a horsey FB group for a profit within a day or two.

What size is the Rambo Wug you have for sale?

Hmm. I paid $276 last January for it. The price I have in mind is less than that. Which I’m OK with. There isn’t really a market for higher end blankets locally it seems. So I just offer shipping.

I sold an Amigo Bravo plus 100g turnout and 200g turnout, both with hoods, for $110 together. So about $50ish per blanket. I’m not good at making a profit  I also just don’t like waiting weeks for something to sell. Once I want it gone, I want it gone.

There’s a Facebook group specifically for Horseware stuff for sale. You could try listing there.

I’ll do that. Thanks. I think I’m just in a horse blanket group (or tack group) that isn’t specific. So that may help.

I’ll post it in a few groups later. I see that someone has the same blanket for sale at a price a bit higher than I was going to sell at, so I’m going to do some market research.

OK. I spoke with PayPal and they told me this needed to be escalated immediately to a claim from a dispute. Once it’s at this point, Jeffers has 10 days to either get me the item or refund my money or PayPal will do so.

Jeffers has last responded on 12/11.

Thank you for reading this installment of GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

I can’t even make this stuff up.

Jeffers has finally replied to my claim… with the initial tracking number from 12/7 that never was scanned into UPS. My follow up led them to the conclusion that they needed to process a reshipment which would happen in 5-7 days (as of 12/11). But they’re doubling down on the original tracking number.

I can’t. I can’t. I can’t.

Please tell me that you sent all this to PayPal and they are helping you out… also, Jeffers won’t be getting my business anytime soon JUST because of your experience! Yikes!

Yes, immediately. They also have all initial communication.

Ooh @Simkie what if you get UPS to print a new label based off of @pompeiii’s tracking number? Do you still have the 81? You also have the right size (well sort of) with a credit for the missing liner, right? They didn’t double charge you?

That’s a cool idea but I realllllly don’t think ups will print me a label for a package I have nothing to do with.

Woulda been great if Jeffers just sent me a label to send directly to one of you guys but :woman_shrugging: They don’t seem that keen in nailing the customer care thing, do they?

In other news, Horseloverz was quick to credit the Optimo. They say they’re out of stock and can’t replace, despite have the same color/size currently listed on their website. I dunno what to do…I bought liners and a hood for the Optimo. I wonder if I can send them back.

I emailed Horseware about those silver Duos and they’re mixed country of manufacture. I was really ready to just buy one of those but what if it fits like the too small Duo? Then I’m kinda screwed.

Sigh.

I don’t even want my blankets from Jeffers at this point. Just my money. I figure if I have an issue they won’t help me…

Jeffers just emailed me to say the item shipped on 12/7 with the same tracking number. If not, we need to refund as item is out of stock. Do we need to go ahead and refund?

Um? Where have you been?!?!

Sooooo in a moment of weakness and or insanity I ordered the silver Duo from Horseware. I ordered it Wednesday and it’s arrived today. Fingers crossed it fits the gelding but I guess I’ll send it back if it doesn’t.

Although I know no 81s so that doesn’t help you much :sob::sob:

I’m curious as to how it fits and where it was made!

Me too, I’ll keep you posted! I did ask Horseware, and they said mixed countries of manufacture. I’m a little screwed if it’s small like the Irish duo from Jeffers.

I’m kind of out of commission today after a hamstring injection but hopefully I can at least unpack & see where it came from

It’s so weird though. My Duo from Jeffers isn’t much smaller at all than my same size 0g Rambo cut and fit wise. The only major difference is the tail flap. The 0g was made in Cambodia.
