New Rambo and Rhino Blankets

My green 100g from Bit of Britain just arrived ($277 + a free $100 gift card). It’s made in Cambodia. Curious to see how that one fits.

I did not receive a shipping notification from them and my order doesn’t show as shipped on my account, so maybe in the holiday rush some companies are missing that step. I ordered it 3 days ago.

Jeffers is now “asking for it to be refunded” because it looks like it never shipped.

Meanwhile, my boy is nice and dry in his new blanket from Stateline. Should have grabbed the smaller hood but it’s fine. My other boy is happy in his trusty Rhino going on winter 3 or 4.

He’s recently been introduced to alfalfa cubes and is obsessed.

Dinner was much more important than photos. lol

Keep pestering them for the refund. Also send PayPal a copy of that communication. At least you have something! That seems like a record delivery time for Stateline.

Alllllrighty, got the silver Duo from Horseware on the horse.

It’s manufactured in Cambodia and fits as I expected for a 75".

It arrived two days after order, was the right size, and contained all the pieces it should (huzzah!)

It’s not quite a light in color as I expected from the pics on the website, but is still certainly lighter than their dark colors.

The tail flap is longer than the Irish Duo Force, but not as long as the Cambodian Duo Force.

@CanteringCarrot when I emailed Horseware to enquire about country of manufacture for these, she said that the Irish blankets were made by hand, and there was some variation expected because of that. I might have just gotten a blanket that varied small. Although every other single piece of 75" Rambo I have is made in Ireland and fits very consistently. So :man_shrugging: If you look at the pic I have in the post above of this same chestnut horse in the Irish Duo, you can see how much more of his booty is showing. It’s a pretty significant difference!

Answering my own question with alternatives to Horseware blankets. I picked up a LeMieux blanket in my quest to grab available blankets and I actually really like it. Should have gotten the 1200D (my guys are very easy on clothing so it should be fine and I usually toss a sheet over everything bc it keeps things cleaner anyway) but I like the quality and fit. Will definitely grab another if I see them in sale.

With this, wardrobe is complete. We just need to grab some spares.

whelp, I was hoping I would escape the poor quality issues I read about here, but two days ago I found the big front velcro piece separated from the blanket (the stitching simply ripped out of the blanket) and every time I try to put in my claim with the turnout guarantee on the horsware website, it tells me something went wrong and to try again later. So that’s going well…

He’s only worn the new Rambo for a month :weary:

You’re trying to use the registration number, right? Uncheck that box and fill out the form as if you hadn’t registered. You can include the registration number in the text box.

At least that’s how I got around that issue.

(If that doesn’t work, shoot me a PM and I’ll hook you up with the direct email address of the person who responded to my warranty request. She was super nice so I don’t want to just put it out there, haha.)

Also, if you bought from a retailer other than from Horseware, they’ll just point you to them, so you can bypass Horseware entirely if that’s the case.

Thank you, @Simkie! That worked.

Yes, I brought through horseware.com. I’m interested to see how they handle the claim. I appreciate the fix! It’s been a day…

Yay! Glad it worked. I also found that error verrrryyyyy frustrating at the end of a long day, haha. Screwed around a lot with number of images and image size and text length before trying as an unregistered blanket, so glad I could spare you all that :joy:

Curious to hear how Horseware addresses your issue! Keep us posted!

Jeffers update.

I got an email about reviewing my purchase so I did. They hadn’t processed my refund so I decided to leave a review… it wasn’t kind.

I received a call this evening telling me they were sorry I didn’t have the “most best experience.” And gave me 600 rewards point. The equivalent of…$6 towards my next purchase.

I called back and it appears that as of yesterday my refund is now in process. I mean, it’s only been a month.

I’ll let you know if this actually happens. I am not closing out the PayPal claim until there is actual movement.

Lololol like…whut.

Fwiw, my “you’ve been refunded” emails from Jeffers have been very shortly followed by the “you’ve been refunded” emails from PayPal. Let me go look up exactly how long that took.

Okay, for one, I got the “refund notification” email from Jeffers at 8:17 am and the email from PayPal followed also at 8:17 am.

The other was 3:42 pm and 3:43 pm.

So no delay. If you’re seeing a delay, they’re still jerking you around :-/

There is a reason I haven’t closed out my claim… I don’t actually have a “you’ve been refunded email” yet… after I got that voicemail I actually called and said I don’t know why you’re offering me reward points when I still haven’t gotten a refund…

I’m not pushing the refund on their end because I do have an open claim on PayPal’s end. But if they want to refund me, it would be faster… I don’t actually trust that a refund is happening but…

That suxs. I’m sorry. My stuff of not getting what I ordered is one thing, but this whole deal of holding your $$$ hostage is bullshit. WTAF.

As soon as my order status page actually updated with cancelling my order (from being just “confirmed” forever), I got the refund. And PayPal confirmation not long thereafter.

Did you escalate with PayPal yet?

I would have laughed at the rewards. Like you will ever order from them again?

Sort of like you get food poisoning at a restaurant and they offer you a BOGO at your next stop? Yeah, hard pass

I escalated last week. They responded with the original tracking number that never worked to show they shipped it. This was all about the reshipment that they had offered immediately.

Anyway, I had updated the ticket with info about that. But, there is still time…. Can take up to 30 days on top of yhe initial 10 before I get money back from PayPal.

For whatever reason, Jeffers started replying to my emails but never resolving anything. If they offered enough rewards, I’d send something to a rescue, but $6? They can keep it.

It’s all so bizarre.

I also got the email from Jeffers to write a review. I had no issues with my order or the product that I received, so I think I was incredibly lucky. I’m not in a rush to order from them again though!

I don’t see anyone talking about the Rhino Hexstop blankets?

Martha says there’s great. What do you all say?

Can you get the new Aloga Brand in the US yet? Created by the famous Allen Irish showjumping family they are incredible quality and considerably less money than horseware. I have 2 and they perform so well in our changing Irish weather.

The Aloga stuff has similar features to Horseware. I’m intrigued! They do offer international shipping, but I’m not sure of the cost.

Hey @Simkie, I need you to buy one so you can compare Rambo, Busse, and Aloga for us :joy:

I’d say they’re more compatible to Amigo though vs Rambo.
