Nick Peronace Dressage

Jcs mods have requested we leave that subject alone. Can you edit it away so the thread doesn’t get locked or deleted?

Kelly, what other trainers have you worked with? What are your credentials?

I will admit, I am a more “casual” rider, I do not currently show. I am totally small fish compared to many on this forum board who have experience at the highest levels of the sport.

I used to event, rode to prelim level. My TB came to me fresh off the track, with a scared and injured mouth (due to his poor training and relentless pulling). With the help of my dressage coach, Lilo Fore, he was retrained, and became competitive at prelim level eventing (between first and second level dressage).

Lilo charged around the same rates as Nick charges. Here is a list of Lilo’s accomplishments:

 • FEI "I" judge
 • USEF "R" judge for Sport Horse
 • Founding member of the USDF Instructor Certification Program and current examiner
 • Winner of numerous national and international Horse-of-the-Year awards for California, USDF and USET
 • Member of the ground jury for numerous USET selection trials for the Pan American Games
 • Recipient of the Equus Award for playing a major role in raising the quality of Dressage training and horses to an international level in Sonoma County.

And while Lilo is a very successful breeder of warmblood dressage horses, she is known for getting her start with an OTTB:

“Lilo Fore bought, for one dollar, an injured three year old American Thoroughbred, Dionysus. Under her training, Dionysus not only healed; he became U.S. “Horse of the Year” in all national levels. She and Dionysus were selected for the USET short list in 1976.”

So, in comparison, Nick’s accomplishments seem fairly light. When instructors with a wealth of knowledge like Lilo are available for the same rates, it makes one wonder why someone would choose to ride with a man, who by his own admission does not have many years in the saddle, and does not have much of an education background beyond reading some books.

I believe he does/did own a pizza shop in Philly.
For someone who supposedly is into “non warmbloods” he sure has a lot of pictures of the Iron Spring Farm stallions all over his business Facebook page …
So now he’s not allowed to work or associate himself with warmbloods? And you hate him so much that’s why you’re checking his facebook?

[edit]

Nick IS, however – and oh so ironically – in charge of a neighborhood crime watch! We know this is the same guy because this site lists his phone number and it’s the number listed on his padressagetrainer site.

*link removed, but it can found by Goolging his name and phone number

Creepy.
You are stalking him now?
HA!
If you’re going to bash someone then you need to list your name and a picture in comparison. Put up or shut up, literally!
Ive never bashed him not once. I simply repeated a summary of his credentials provided by him. Keep in mind he called me on my cell phone -completely unsolicited- using information he must have datamined from the internet so I am well within my right to research him.

JCS, those posts were removed by the Moderator as not being substantiated.

Guys, speculation into this guys personal life beyond what is published as his training record is going to get this thread closed and that would be a shame.

Wow you people are stalking creepy psychotics! You are actually looking up everyone with the same name as him?
Wtf?
This is borderline criminal activity here, the moderators really need to step in and delete the thread. Your jealousy is now spilling over into criminal activity!!

You are apparently oblivious to the amount of information a person can find on the internet. ANYONE can find information such as work history, addresses, domain names, and other business connections through simple and free internet search engines. No one is stalking him. It’s public information that any simpleton can access.

Any experienced rider would research a clinician before riding with them, especially if they’d never heard of them before. Clearly Nick isn’t catering to experienced riders with a enough forethought to do so. Otherwise, all of this information would’ve come out ages ago.

From Peronace :

December 12th: I suppose it is safe to say this now because I’m not going to follow through with it. The Van Olst Breeders in Holland ( Ferro, Negro, Netto) were considering me for a trainer position. They really loved the pictures of Chevy, and also how light I ride. They saw a few video clips and wanted me to try out in person. I can not move my family to another country, and I guess I just wanted to see if I could make it? But either way, Im here to stay folks lol!!

They considered him?

Could someone contact them? (My english and dutch aren’t good enough to elucide this mistery.)

Van Olst horses contact info

We are only sharing facts. His falsification of his address is a fact. His falsification of a soon-to-be-published book is a fact. I have the e-mail to prove both. We are not “defaming him”. Defamation requires us to be spreading false information, which we are not. We are merely gathering information this is already available.

Alternate universe, take down the link on post #276 or this will get shut down.

I deleted my thing… But alternate_universe had already quoted me. Sorry about that!

But that has nothing to do with dressage…

Umm, researching people on the internet doesn’t qualify as “criminal activity.” If it’s out there on the internet, it’s public information.

Agreed. His (and your) delusions that a few years of training and riding in his teens, a 20 year hiatus and lots of reading make him a dressage master are what we are and should be discussing.

Done.

And a shot a little heads up note to that Dutch farm. I doubt they’ll be concerned about a single guy in the US though.
