oh my! the"Winston" saga continues!

This is frightening! Poor Fleur. I’d make sure Tommy has a watch put out on him. Microchipping, too.

Maybe this is an early April Fool’s joke?[/QUOTE]

Pretty sick joke. I’d be moving Winston to a new well-hidden location ASAP, as I wouldn’t put it past the “trainer” to steal him and flip him to an unsuspecting buyer.

WOW this is really strange and entertaining! I am going to e-mail them too! I will try to appeal to their crazy nature!

The equine hits ad:

Message from Seller: 17hh registered Thoroughbred gelding for sale. he is jet black with just a small star and a spot on his right front leg. He is a thick boy with lots of muscle and build to him that makes him an ideal hunter/eq mount. He is a later 2002 baby, so he will not be technically turning 7 until late summer despite the January 1st Jockey Club birthday. He is unraced, untattooed, but registered. His papers will go with him. He is still green but very willing to learn. He has free schooled 4’6 with ease and was being worked over course of 3’6 before the winter hit, but is just being brought back into work now that the ground has softened up with Spring hitting. He is going well on the flat again and will be starting over fences again as he gets fit. A Show home is a must as this horse would be wasted anywhere else. With the proper training, he could be made into anything you would like! EMAIL FOR PHOTOS

Weird.

When I read that description and see those photos, I don’t think $2100. Why ask so little? ???

IIRC, he was microchipped back in December.

Just sent another text - I think she needs to leave school. I was going to go ride. Think maybe I’ll drive by her barn.

Good lord! I was hoping this might be a stupid teenage joke with the ad being in sporting goods and all the joking about calling him Winston but now it has gone way beyond that for sure!

 I know, I thought the same thing. That alone raises tons of red flags about the validity of the ad.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

That is really, really scary.

She doesn’t need to leave school. She needs to have someone check on the horse NOW!

Wonder how long the ad has been up?

I emailed the craigslist ad feigning interest… figure I’m safe here from the stalker a couple of time zones away.

since 6:30 yesterday night

Wow, I just finished reading all 9 pages and I agree - someone needs to go check on Tommy NOW!!! Very creepy…

and the one on equine.com was just posted today.

 This is creepy. I would move that horse TODAY before he mysteriosly disappears. That lady is whacked. So if someone is interested, is she planning on stealing him and bringing him to her barn so they can see him? HTH is she going to swing that?

Absolutely nuts! I would get copies of all the ads to show the authorities that she is still at it. That lady belongs locked up :yes::yes:

I’m going out there now. I’ll alert the property owners too if they are home. I know that they knew about the stalker so he should be safe but I’m going to go check just to be sure.

ETA: Printed out ads so Fleur will have them for the police.

Big giant WTF from me. Does “nveccio” ring a bell? That looks like a first initial, last name?!

Could it be that someone has a cheap black horse for sale and figures they can pass him off as Tommy using Tommy’s pictures?

If those are indeed Fleur’s pictures, she should see about contacting Craig’s List and reporting the pictures used without permission. Perhaps, under the circumstances, they’ll provide the contact information of the person who posted the ad.

This is just so weird. Someone is really twisted and clearly has too much time on their hands. Smacks of something a teenager would do-- a jealous one. But it’s not funny.

Several people have already confirmed the photos are of Fleur and her horse Tommy.

If it’s not the stalking trainer person, why does the ad say the name of the horse is Winston?

I think the stalker person placed the ads just to stir up trouble.

Or someone with nothing better to do decided to stir up the COTH community…

OHHHH----good observation!!!
