I will have an SDR with Bolero added in for good measure next year, but I don’t know if it will be a colt or a filly.
I hope a certain somebody I sent all his information to will attempt to bring him to CANADA.
Thanks, YL! LOL!

Well, I could live with that. But he would look really nice standing at a certain farm in MD…
I agree - let’s at least get him to North America.

If it is a filly you are my new best friend : )
Love the B line in the mix. I am very hot on Breitling right now.
Yes, lets! Er…one of you can. $$ I will watch and cheer you on.

We could do a COTher syndicate
Sonntagskind is Sandro Hit x Donnerhall x Rubinstein I standing in the US.
What a fabulous cross.
Well, Canada isn’t too far away and actually touches the U. S. for thousands of miles, so I guess that might be okay, too, Rodawn!
He is lovely, and would be even more fantastic somewhere in North America!
I think the best part about him is the damline. Sansisco is possibly the best SH son as far as performance goes…not sure why he isn’t used more (at least here, not sure about Germany…does he freeze?).

Great, there is one newly licensed one available. I should have recalled that one as I saw him go through his inspection at Hilltop last year; I forgot he was R on the bottom. In any event, they are not as common as they might seem.
Not to take away from his awesomeness, but there are SOOOOOOOO many Sandro Hit sons. I’m hoping for a new up and coming Super Stallion soon that produces close to what he does so that we have new crosses with these bloodlines.

Quaterback, Fidertanz, Belissimo, Breitling, are candidates, among others. Maybe Totilas, who knows. I also really like the tried and true - the Jazz, Rotspon, and I am a bit keen on Weltmeyer mares these days when crossed with certain stallions that I like. It takes so long to be able to fully evaluate a stallion’s production strengths that I wouldn’t get that excited about one that comes out of no where. I would only put such a horse on a wait and see list (as I did with Quaterback, and I am liking what he produces).
As posted above:

San Donscisco’s breeder Elizabeth Munstermann sends one nice horse after another through the Auctions in Vechta. It is really quite amazing the breeding program/mare base she has developed. That would be my reason for choosing this Sandro Hit son over some of the others.
Also agree, that it would be nice to have more diversified bloodlines in Oldenburg. But a good horse is a good horse. If the recipe works??? And from the looks of this stallion he has about everything you could ask a young horse to bring to the equation.
And don’t rule out the Spanish contingent in the Auction. They also have very good and very expensive taste in horses!

That is interesting; thanks.
To directly answer the OP’s question…someone bringing a Brink’s Truck to the auction with them!
While there may be a TON of Sandro Hit stallions out there, and even some out of Donnerhall mares, and even a couple out of Donnerhall/Rubinstein line mares, how many of them scored 8.5 for their walk? Or earned a total score of 9.17 at the Bundeschampionat? Or earned 19 of 20 possible points for rideability from two different guest riders? Or were named champion stallion at the Bundeschampionat, defeating the top stallions in their age group in Germany? Or have a granddam who has produced a horse earning 70% at GP at age 8?
Nancy made a good point about Elizabeth Munstermann’s breeding program. It is VERY strong, and the depth of quality is superb.
And yes, I could see Elizabeth Max-Theurer going for this boy. Or Andreas Helgstrand. Or Blue Hors. Or the Spanish buyers Nancy mentioned. Heck, I think Marta Kauffmann should buy him.
Is anyone going to the Auction? It kind of conflicts with WEG. Why are all of the cool events the same week this year?
