OK, who is going to buy this one?
Is anyone going to the Auction? It kind of conflicts with WEG. Why are all of the cool events the same week this year?
Agree about the unfortunate scheduling conflict with WEG, but the stallion selections start on Oct. 8, so they pretty much had to hold the auction on its regular date.

Sansisco semen

What a lovely stallion! It would be wonderful if he was in North America. We were lucky enough to have been able to buy the close relative Shirley M last fall. She is Sandro Hit out of Rosenfee (San Donscisco’s grand-dam), and a full sister to Sansisco. She is a beautiful girl with a wonderful temperament. We love her so much we bought a few doses of Sansisco this spring and have 2 mares in foal to him. The semen was excellent.

Wow, lucky you to have the full sister to Sansisco. That is really cool!

And their other mares look really nice too!

Thanks very much!!!

Sandro Bedo is also for sale in the Westfalen Auction.
Sandro Hit/Donnerhall/Faschingsprinz

The 2nd Reserve Champion of the 14th NRW
licensing 2004 and 70-day-performance-testchampion
2005 in Warendorf (Index 129,14
points, dressage index 135,68 points), Sandro
Bedo, was successful with victories in tests for
young dressage horses. The premium stallion St.
Petersburg at the 18th NRW licensing 2008 was
by Sandro Bedo. Sandro Bedo delivered more
than 18 auction horses and foals: e. g. Sir Velo (G.
Williams / USA) and the cat.-no. 57 Sir Hennesy.
Sandro Bedo, an interesting dressage prospect
for sport and breeding.

I am personally very happy that there are many Sandro Hit babies out there since I will be shopping for one in the spring! There is a lady in N. Germany that has a black 3yo by Stedinger (Sandro Hit) out of a Rubinstein mare that was just backed that I want but I don’t have the money for yet. :sigh:

I wish the auction was closer to me. I’d love to see that sexy stallion in the flesh!

I will be at Vechat that day as it is my birthday! and I also saw this stallion win at the Bundes, but funnily enough he wasnt my favourite, i liked the third placed horse better from the stands

Sacha, you will have to keep us updated on the day of auction. We will all be curious cats!

someone with a LOT of money  :D:lol::lol:

Andreas H, just bought an awesome Hotline from friends of mine. Boy I wish we had the same young horse marked over here at times!! but alas…

Anyone going to the hanoverian elite auction since we are on auctions? cant wait to see the new Niedersachen Halle!

He should have bought your Hotline

I am suffering from Sandro Overkill …as well as anything with a Don in front of it. Can you tell I like jumpers!! HA HA

While he is lovely I am just not in to the flavor of the month x 100.

By definition neither one is flavor of the month, x 1 or 100.

YL…you know exactly what I mean and what is hot at the moment.

No real need to belabor the point.

Yes, I do know what you mean and pointed out that I disagree with your dismissive characterization of these bloodlines. And I am not the one belaboring the point.

Agree there are a ton of them. And for good reason.

I think the best part about him is the damline. Sansisco is possibly the best SH son as far as performance goes…not sure why he isn’t used more (at least here, not sure about Germany…does he freeze?).

Yes, this stallion caught my eye a few years ago. He looks like such a talent under saddle. Luxe, you are lucky to have such a fabulously bred mare! Can I ask where you purchased Sancisco semen?

While there may be a TON of Sandro Hit stallions out there, and even some out of Donnerhall mares, and even a couple out of Donnerhall/Rubinstein line mares, how many of them scored 8.5 for their walk? Or earned a total score of 9.17 at the Bundeschampionat? Or earned 19 of 20 possible points for rideability from two different guest riders? Or were named champion stallion at the Bundeschampionat, defeating the top stallions in their age group in Germany? Or have a granddam who has produced a horse earning 70% at GP at age 8?

Agreed! He is something!

Sansisco

Donella- we bought the semen directly from the stud who stands him- Juan put it in with a shipment he was getting from PSI. The semen was very reasonable in price, but of course with all the other fees, brought it up to the “normal” amount.
It will be very interesting to see his foals, as the mares we bred to him are quite different.
He also isn’t approved with any major European registry despite the fact that he is out of an ELite mare. And…a search of his website show no offerings of stallion performance testing nor proof of performance in sport. :(
Just a quick note on Sovereign Hit:

He was supposed to be presented to more registries and also go to the last stallion performance test, but a significant stall injury put off all those plans. He has recently come back under saddle and made his show debut in July, being named Training level champion with scores up to 76% from Axel Steiner.
Quaterback, Fidertanz, Belissimo, Breitling, are candidates, among others. Maybe Totilas, who knows. I also really like the tried and true - the Jazz, Rotspon, and I am a bit keen on Weltmeyer mares these days when crossed with certain stallions that I like. It takes so long to be able to fully evaluate a stallion’s production strengths that I wouldn’t get that excited about one that comes out of no where. I would only put such a horse on a wait and see list (as I did with Quaterback, and I am liking what he produces).
Hoping some of the ones you’ve mentioned about are successful like SH is in the breeding shed.
